Was watching De La Hoya - Pacquiao fight yesterday..

Surprised me that coming in to the ring, De La Hoya weighed 147, compared to Pacquiao's 148.5

    Why didn't Oscar rehydrate?

He did , or shall i say he attepmted too

His body was rejecting fluids at the rapid rate he was trying to re hydrate after he starched his body getting to 147 , this was so severe that they were trying with IV fluids as close as 45 mins before the fight to try and rehydrate him .

Similar thing happened to Pavlik against Hopkins , after he usually weighs in @160 Pavlik was re hydrating at 171+ , when he weighed in against Hopkins @169 he reydrated at 170 and couldnt go any higher !!

and it's crazy because there are people out there who don't believe that Oscar was severly drained and that Pac beat a decent version of Oscar

Because he didn't dehydrate in the first place . He followed a dietitians advice and was down on weight two weeks before the fight. THIS WAS COVERED LAST WEEK!

Compare that to OScars weight against PBF. I think it was around 165.

Its laughable some people try to compare those victories.

Before the fight Oscar was ridiculed for fighting a smaller guy. Believing it was a sure win he was preparing for the postfight interview -" look I was not bigger..."

IV theory - no proof, based on needle marks ? watch 24/7 episode 1 for needles.

Nacho Beristain admitted it in an interview about 7 weeks after the fight !!!

Freddy Roach said he could see fresh blood and small pin holes in DLH's vein when him and Manny touched gloves :deal

De La Hoya never onced made an excuse for his performance other than saying Pacquiao was the better fighter on the night !!!

See episode 1 , dude that is acupuncture

"Oscar de la Hoya:Training camp is going well. It's actually great training with Nacho Beristain and being up here in Big Bear, it's once again ignited that fire in my belly, which hasn't burned in many years. So I'm ready to go. I've been weighing 145 pounds now for the last three weeks. The weight is no problem. I feel strong. I do have to admit that I - in the first couple of days that I did make the weight or I tried making weight, about a month ago, I did feel a little lightheaded and weak, but now that I have gotten used to it and now that weeks have passed by, I feel strong and fast and very comfortable with welterweight. And I'm even thinking of going back down to 140 after this fight, so we'll see."

This quote alone is why you never take what a boxer says before a fight seriously. They don't want to give anything away, they don't want to give there opponent a mental edge.

It's not like DLH would come out and say, "I'm struggling with the weight. I am at (or close to) 147lbs, but I am still feeling very dizzy, drained and dehydrated."

It's clear from the weigh in, through to after the bout that DLH had bitten off more than he could chew.
