Lets be clear, Pacquiao is facing the same old Mosley that Floyd fought!

It really wasnt that big of a stretch to think that at Mosleys age, and Margos momentum, that Margo was going to have a fighter in front of him that would be there to be hit, without the legs or skills to use the ring against him and outbox him ala Cotto, and it was by no means an amature pick to think Margos activity rate, and stamina, along with Mosleys stationary, warring style and lack of a good D would see Mosley getting outworked and lose a decision. Mosley had just had a rough and tumble fight with Mayorga and Margos chin was looking as good as ever, nobody picking Margarito over Mosley at that point in time should feel embarrassed about that pick.

Lets not forget, Paq wouldn't be fighting Mosely, if Floyd was interested in fighting Paq.

little bit older, little bit less ring rusty, and also will have had more experience of fighters with real good movement/hard to nail a lot due to his fights with floyd and mora.

so pac is facing the mosley who is not rusty, has had fights to get used to movement and improve where he went wrong, but this is the mosley written off with no pressure to win,but it is his last chance of becomin p4p no 1.

No but margarito was the favorite coming in that fight and the way it ended is a big surprise. Many thought mosley was done so him coming up with not just a win but a dominant TKO win vs the welterweight king @ the time is a BIG SURPRISE.

You'll say anything to justify your boy Pac fighting a shot fighter - according your post Moseley is a developing fighter then ?

Yeah right , Shanes about 15 years past and a career behind him from being a developing fighter .

the *****'s believe that because Floyd haters said he was scared of Mosley, that means Mosley wasn't old. It doesn't matter what they think though. Mosley was old and inactive going into the Floyd fight. Now he's older but less inactive giong into the Pac fight.

In both cases, he's far from his best. He just appeared closer to his best against Floyd because during his inactivity, noone got the chance to expose how far he had declined. Berto was gonna do it, but he was paid step aside money and Floyd stepped in.

Floyd cherrypicked Mosley when he was being overrated by everyone (after his win over Margo and 16 months off). Pac is fighting Mosley after 2 bad fights while he is being underrated by everyone.

Fact is you can have a string of bad fights or poor showings back to back and that doesn't mean you went from a good fighter to a **** fighter... and you can destroy a guy like Margarito and that doesn't mean that all of sudden you're the better than you were before.

Floyd fought Mosley when there was the most hype behind him, I'm not disputing that.

Totally agree, mosley was old as dirt and coming of an ungodly layoff of 16 months. People blowing that fight up were the same people blowing up a possible pac/jmm 3. Times change, that floyd mosley fight should have happened YEARS ago. The fact that it took so long to make is another reason boxing is dying so fast. We only get the fights we wanna see when one guy is a grandpa and the other is out of options. Mosley was like 38 or 39 AND coming of a year and half layoff?????? Give it a rest, it was a joke then, its a joke now. Pacs fighting mosley for the same reasons floyd fought him, a huge ass check.

Shane is a tough fight for anyone who likes to trade. If Pac fights a dumb fight he's getting tagged at least a few times. If he uses his movement Shane will get battered.

Shane was pfp no. 3 and the welterweight champion when Floyd fought him. Small difference.

Floyd faced the better Mosley. he's coming off a big win when Floyd fought him. while Pac will be facing an older Mosley, and who's coming off a bad performance against a mediocre opponent. That's why im not really that interested in this fight (Pac-SSM) but still gonna watch it.
