Hearns was too great for Tito. Hearns had a right hand punch and a great jab. Tito had the left hook. To set Hearns up with the left hook mean Tito would have to take several of Hearns right hand punches. Isn't going to happen with his chin. Hearns stops Tito in 2 or 3. You cannot compare knocking out Campas and Joppy to Hearns knocking out Cuevas and Duran.

  3. Maybe, but I would never count a puncher like Tito out of any fight.

I pick Hearns in one of the most exciting fights of all time.

Hearns ends it early or puts on a clinic and wins by a wide UD.

However Trinidad is a very live underdog due to his explosive power, coupled with the fact that Hearns isn't the most durable guy ever.

I think Hearns takes it though, I favour him 60/40

the style matchup is not great for Tito. Hearns would land his right but Tito might not land his left. He would have to set up Hearns to walk into that. In the interim he would be hit with clean rights. Stylewise bad for Tito. Guys like Tito or Shane or Oscar would not have been a good matchup for Hearns. Shane would have the best chance out of all of them.

That question was brought to Manny Stewart some time ago,and he said that Tito had more heart than Hearns and had better killer instinc!!!

Hearns. Tito is a live underdog with his power, but Hearns would probably get there first and more often. Hearns was faster of hand and also very tall & rangy. Trinidad showed vulnerabilities to Hearns's best weapon, the straight right. Tito was dropped by the straight rights of Carr & Reid, hit repeatedly with straight right hands by Hopkins and also Oscar. Can't see him being able to avoid enough of Hearns's straight right, which is one of the great weapons in boxing history.

Hearns by both boxing lesson and brutal destruction. Different class of fighter.

Trinidad had a damn shaky Chin. But then again Hearn's was a disgrace.

Bombs away in this one, I would favour Hearns KO5.

Hearns could box and move exceptionally well, and hit with devastating power. This would be a short fight and Tito would be on his back. Hearns was not Vargas.

There are very very very few fighters I would pick over Hearns at 147, Trinidad, as great as he is, is not one of them. Hearns just too superior.
