The catchweight has nothing to do with the WBC. The WBC has sanctioned this bout for 154lbs. The catchweight was stipulated in the contract before it was sanctioned to be a title fight. Alvarez was just trying to honor the contractual agreement. It's obvious he tried...he came down to 151
I love boxing too but I hate how greedy promoters and guys like Sulaiman are disgracing themselves and taking the sport down with them for a few bucks. As a person in boxing and a boxing fan is very frustrating to see.
