Virgil Quicksilver Hill definitely deserves a shout out.

No, he doesn't. Certainly nowhere near this class. He wouldn't even rank among the very best Lt. Heavies in that regard, really.

In terms of not getting hit. I'd go with Nicolino Locche. Fallowed by Willie Pep.
I think Pernell Witaker was better than Locche and Pep at using his defense to put himself in position to hit his oppoent. If the question is who has the best defense I would pick Looche. If the question is who is the best defensive boxer. Which is a diffrent question all together. I'd pick Whitaker.

I think you are right. Talk about underrated. Hill is hurt by his lack of excitement. He was a pretty boring fighter, but an effective fighter. He has over 25 title fights and I think the record in rounds fought in title fights. If he is not a great fighter than many guys in the Hall are not. What hurt Hill the most was losing to Tommy Hearns. People did not give Tommy the credit for beating Hill, they just diminished Virgil. But Virgil won the title again and the Cruiserweight title also. Fought another 10 years and 15 title fights after Hearns.

Hill really is underrated, in general. We always agree on that. :good The man's championship years lasted two decades and he had a major world title when he was about 42.

Yeah, he is one of the most fun non-knockout guys there are. He's always playing to the crowd. Almost always... He was pretty serious against Fuji.

Whittakers defense in the oscar fight was pure genius.

Id say Whittaker for how it looked but id say Floyd gets hit less
