You bought him up here sport - take a look back if that old selective memory of yours is playing up again!
You're a self-confessed Mundine nuthugger, and YOU are the one who first raised Mundine's name in this thread - post #56. Nobody in the boxing industry will ever take a nuthugger seriously mate. Particularly one who's boxing acumen amounts to asking someone on the phone to run down and yell out to a fighter 'throw more punches!' Are you familiar with the expression: A little knowledge is dangerous!
Back on point with the thread... I know this is going to sound like a bagging, but ****ing hell, what were Bolling's people thinking? Beaten comprehensively in the stupid South African trip last year by a awkward southpaw, Michael's been out of the ring for some 9 months and for his return fight, they plan for him an equally difficuilt/very awkward southpaw, giving away height, reach and weight - ****ing genius thought process there! Plain for all to see watching the fight tonight on replay that Michael is a SMW, not a LHW and as the old saying goes, "styles make fights" rung true all the way through. Good luck to young Caparello. He wanted the fight and he capitalised on the opportunity presented. Michael's still a fantastic prospect but ****ing hell, whoever's picking his fights should simply put, kick themselves up the ass. He looked great last year on Oganov, an orthodox walk-in type fighter who fundamentally will stand there for him. Based off his great Oganov performance, why the **** would you then go into TWO awkward southpaws? Hope Michael doesn't turn into another prospect wrecked by bad matchmaking.
Good points there contendo....I for one would like to see Bolling back on track.....one would think its back to SMW for him and hold the southpaws :yep
Not being smart Ash with my comments, I just hate seeing prospects ruined by stupid moves. Out of Oganov last year, the most obvious fights for Michael were people like Les Piper and then into someone like Nader Hamdan at the end of last year (which Sherro ended up doing). Michael would have looked really good against fighters like that who would walk into him a lot and not the awkward southpaw style he encountered last night or in his previous fight. A fight then with Junior Talipeau this year would have been a excellent progression and by the end of this year, Michael could have been rated with a regional title or two perhaps, ready to do some stuff and progress properly next year. He's gone from looking good to now will have to be in a re-build phase, a.) to get his confidence back and b.) to get his momentum going again so promoters don't just start offering him any old **** fight, for **** money to be a gatekeeper for someone else. As I said, good luck to Caparello, he grabbed it and ran with his opportunity. He's very quick and can move for a big guy, he'll be an awkward style of fight for a lot of guy's.
Yes I agree...in this case my use of the emotocon ":yep" was meaning " I agree" and they were good points Not to be confused with the use of this emotocon ":yep"...this means smartarse
I was interested in the write up over this card, thanks chb,and I also heard bolling is backing up in 3weeks against another opponent,i'd say a tune up fight is in order.
Bolling is still a good prospect, as is Caparello, whom a certain poster well known for running off at the mouth here underated to his own embarrassment.
Just taking another laugh at ESB's own self proclaimed industry insider who has just enough knowledge to be bloody dangerous to any fighter silly enough to listen. ....and in this case laughing about your obviously 'educated and well informed' prediction for the Bolling fight, nothing to do with your teenager-like nuthugger obsession with the other guy.
