Yeah the limit is 160 lbs, if it is written into the contract then it is binding.

if a catch weight is being used, a maximum weight is reasonable in that it's not a straight up title fight but a contrived one.

having said that yes, i feel it's dangerous to but it's been done before and it's up to alvarez to recognize that going into the fight. if it's too dangerous to come into the fight drained, his team and physicians should stop it

Surely mad matt hatton being at a possible huge weight (never mind skill) dsiaparity doesnt count as effecting his performance, hes not the touted prospect so its okay to mess with him

but alvarez is clearly bigger than him and can potentially blow up 20 (effective) pounds of muscle and water giving him a MASSIVE size difference over hatton by fight night. hatton simply cannot put on that kind of weight which is also dangerous
