    I was watching the ESPN marathon on Sugar Ray Robinson recently and they showed a clip of the tough Carmen Basilio getting a great one-liner in on Howard Cosell.

    Cosell - " Carmen, i polled 10 writers today, who will win the fight and 9 said Robinson. Have you any comment?"

    Basilio - " 9 of them are wrong." ...end of chat.

    I seen this years ago, i think it was on 'Pound for Pound', but when i seen it again today, i burst out laughing at Basilios reaction and his reply.

    Anyhow, i'd like anyone to share any great/funny quotes they have heard from the fighters of yesteryear - or indeed any at all that are good

    I remember seeing joe louis getting interviewed with his trainer after a fight. Now its years from i seen it so i may be slightly off here but here goes.


    "Joe, i think you used my left in there tonight"
