    :good

to be honest those figures are quite healthy considering that the vast majority of them are domestic fights.

I couldn't get my head round that either. Woodhall was poor tonight at ringside. Said he thinks it's the end of the road for Johanneson and then the next minute says Johanneson will be dissapointed tonight because he let Sykes off the hook!?

Credit to Sykes, he dug deep to win that. As funny as it sounds, the knockdown might have cost Carl the victory. He blew himself out in that round when the fight was looking close and Sykes looked tired.

I also think the knockdown had a negative effect on Johanneson. After the knockdown he completely neglected the body - where he was getting most of his success - and was just head hunting with power shots.

Yeah..... for most of the fight Carl was missing with the right hand head shots by miles.

The one that dropped Sykes was probably one of only a dozen that he landed cleanly with plenty behind it, but the body shots were slowing Sykes down quite a bit and keeping him within range.

Johanneson really needs the opponent to stand in front of him to have success, he's only really got the middle six rounds to get the guy out of there..... he was cooked in the last couple.
