If Alvarez isn't ready for the Elite, then don't put him into the elite. He has a title now, so he MUST fight the elite. But I know The WBC will give him soft mandatories and HBO is going to baby this kid and green light soft touches for him.

Lara, Martinez, Williams, Angulo, Kirkland, Dzinziruk, Cotto and Margarito would flatten Alvarez. I'd take Martirosyan and Chavez Jr to win a decision over him.

Alvarez needs speed and defense taught badly. Vanes, benavidez, khan, and of course manny would be great sparring partners. Too bad jr is with roach, but another gbp fighter khan is with roach also. Richardson and especially garcia would be great since he already speaks spanish. Canelo needs to add more to his game to go up to the next level.

you are a fool and know nothing of the fight game. berto has beaten estrada, collazo, quintana and urango. he would ruin alvarez just as any top five fighter at 147 or 154 would.

alvarez's five minutes of fame is up now that he has the wbc belt. urango is going to kill him. the odds should be urango -350 and it will problably be even money but dlh won't let it happen.

canelo is now on borrowed time.

do you guys realize that sm and abraham(when he goes back down in weight) are only six little pounds heavier than canelo?

Cool if you're not a fan of his. But I'll be tuned in to watch every Canelo fight from here on out. You don't necessarily need to be the complete package to become an elite fighter. How quickly we forget that Pac wasn't always complete yet he was still a wrecking machine from day one.

Out of all the guys you mentioned I believe only Martinez has a clear advantage over Alvarez mainly because of his size and the fact that Sergio can move like a lightweight. Pac and Floyd are favored to win but I think Saul's size and relentlessness give them problems. The jury is still out on the current version of Cotto. The Cotto who fought Pac would get KO'd by Saul's power shots. Margarito is an average fighter at best. Cintron's heart would fail him. Angulo/Berto/Pwill vs Alvarez would be a toss up for me.

I want to see him fight either cintron-margarito-kirkland or angulo next.

Cintron or Angulo should be a good test for him.

I am a fan actually, I really hope he becomes great but i think they rushed him to fast and therefore now is pushed to a level with guys that are above him at this point.
And as a fan of boxing of course I will watch him, if it makes you a bit happier i do favour him over chavez jr.

never going to happen. other than against margo(he is shot)he would get used, abused and ruined. kirkland and angulo could finish him.

    DLH knows what he has.

and now he doesn't have much time left.

did anybody even see his fight tonight? he couldn't even hurt a powerless 147lb hatton.

this is why i love betting on fights. the genreal public is absolutely clueless.

the weak-minded cintron would ko canelo. i dont even want to mention kirkland or angulo.

canelo won't even make it past next year, ok?

Dude is kinda slow and leaves himself WIDE OPEN, I seriously doubt he could beat Berto the way he is right now.
