Better Heavyweight Resumé: Adamek or Haye?

Clearly David Haye has the better resume. Haye beat two veteran champions at heavyweight in Valuev and Ruiz. Between them, they had eight successful title defenses. Adamek hasn't fought any reigning or former heavyweight champs.

And Haye beat Mormeck at cruiserweight, who was better than anyone Adamek beat at Cruiserweight.

Adamek has a good resume, but it isn't better than Haye's.

 

I wana say Adamek cuz so far hes seemed more willing to fight the opponants that are at the top right now.

But then he isnt a world champion and Haye is. And as far as im concerned if the 2 faced off Haye would smash him apart with his power.

 

come on .. im polish and i have to say haye - valuev > arreola...and most of the adamek fights are a joke.. maddalone, grant, and now mcbride ....atleast audley was european champion. ruiz was a mandatory and barret was a first fight

Except Valuev was barely a win for Haye whereas Adamek looked very good against Arreola, Maddalone was just a stay active fight, Grant/McBride are Barrett level only Adamek is fighting them as a tune up to a Klitschko and in quick succession instead of taking on Fraudley Harrison.

Adamek's CW resume is at least equal to Haye's with his wins over Cunningham, Bell, and Banks. His HW is about the same, aside from Arreola his resume is pretty thin but Haye's beaten no one who's had a pulse except Valuev and that was a debatable win. Add in that Adamek was a LHW champ and he becomes the clear winner.

Adamek clearly, if they both fought I'd put money on Adamek since his heart is bigger than Haye's by a mile, he's simply a better boxer.

Adamek would TKO him in late rounds or UD winning at least 8 rounds. Haye's fans are delusional and so far he fought bums and had problems with them. He's also glasschinned **** and can't take a punch from a paperhanded fighter like Adamek, too.

Haye's is a ****ing sissy.

I think Haye would beat Adamek.. But i think Adamek has the better resuem at heavyweight.

 

I think Haye has slitghly better resume so far.

 

No Chagaev was. Plus Donald, Bidenko, Ruiz, ancient Holyfiled all had more convincing performances against Valuev. 12 punches per round lol

i think the mega fight to watch out for in the future is Haye-Adamek, everything is set for this fight.....depending on how they do with the Klitschkos obviously

 

I would say at Cruiserweight their resumes are about level (possibly a very slight edge to Adamek). Cunningham, Bell & Banks being Adamek's 3 best wins & Mormeck, Fragomeni & Maccarinelli being Haye's 3 best wins.

At Heavyweight each has fought 5 times. Adamek fought Golota, Estrada, Arreola, Maddalone & Grant. Haye has fought Bonin, Barrett, Valuev, Ruiz & Harrison.
Each has fought three fighters that have contested a version of the World Title and two lesser opponents. But the fact that Valuev & Ruiz won versions of the world title gives the edge to David Haye's resume in my opinion.

I do think that Valuev was a bit of a paper champion having lost to Chagaev & not won it back from him. Also I thought Valuev lost to Holyfield. Ruiz was never a great Heavyweight Champion and a bit of a spoiler but has some good names in the win column of his resume and has fought many of the top Heavyweights around.
Barrett looks to be a decent win for Haye, when he subsequently outboxed David Tua but then he performed poorly to get a draw against a journeyman in his next fight.
Audley Harrison and Tomasz Bonin are definitely the two worst names on Haye's resume. Harrison did not even want to fight and Bonin was just not even anywhere near World Level (yet somehow managed to be ranked 11 by the WBC at the time).

I think Golota was badly faded by the time Adamek got hold of him. Jason Estrada was able to pose some problems for Adamek & Povetkin but was too feather fisted to be any sort of a threat. Chris Arreola was totally outboxed & outfought by Vitali Klitchko and did not seem to be the same fighter in subsequent fights, Michael Grant exceeded expections and fought well but was outclassed & Maddalone is just a punchbag for top rated heavyweights to stay active on.

 

I'd say Adamek slightly ahead, taking into account their relative activity levels since moving up to HW. However Haye makes more noise, and talked his way up to the WBA strap.

Adamek/Haye's LHW/CW achievements are a red herring really, the OP is asking for our opinions on their Heavyweight records alone.atsch
