Zab still isn't good enough to beat the top dogs at 140.

i agree he cant beat the big dogs at 140 . but if he keeps winning then i would still like to see him try. if he can continue to win just like 2 more fights then hes fightin the top dog. khan or bradley beats him IMO.

Ive been saying for weeks, Zab was not gonna lose to this guy. I didnt expect a KO, but Mabuza doesnt have the tools to beat him. Mabuza aint bradley, kahn, or even Alexander though. Zab beats guys he know that match up well with him stylistically. Most of the top guys dont. I would favor him over Maidana though.

Well Matthysse is fighting Alexander I think, maybe Judah can fight the winner or go onto something bigger

It wasn't a gift at all, it was a close fight, in a way it was similar to Khan-Maidana with Judah outboxing Matthysse early and getting hurt and losing the late rounds. Matthysse took his rounds bigger but Judah won more rounds for my money. You do raise the point that Judah isn't truly dominating but he is beating good opponents and Matt may well be top5 himself. He's looked better in his last 2 than Alexander or Maidana

Ideally that would be the best for zab. I'd actually like the winner to fight Maidana or the loser of Bradley-Khan though, so...

With that performance Zab has really thrown his hat in the ring.

I wouldn't object to seeing him fight any of the top guys at 140 bar Bradley/Khan in the summer.

Lots of good potential match-ups, nice to see Jab do well, always was a very talented guy.

After last night Zab deserves one big fight and his best chance is to face Devon Alexander.
That will be a massive fight and for sure a sellout

I dont think so. After seeing his fight with Corley I think theres no question that Zabs speed and higher ring iq would keep him ahead in the fight all the way through. Plus hes a southpaw. The only way Maidana has a chance is if Zab has a mental lapse which is always possible. Zab doesnt always show up in his biggest fights.

They could have positioned it as revenge for spinks in saint louis but that mofo has already embarassed himself and nobody cares as much. I don't even think devon will get a good turnout for Mathysse back in the lou at all.

Our city's tired of guys who get in the ring to play grabass and give 50%.

People can make excuses for Zab but he is what he is, a man who has lacked focus many times in his career.

"If only he didn't gas against Mayweather he would've beaten him"

"If only he didn't get lowblowed and folded against Cotto"

"If he toke Baldomir & Clottey seriously"

"If he didn't try to end his fight with Tszyu early"

I think he can beat Alexander and possibly Mattysse(not again as he got a gift) but just remember about the constant inconsistencies throughout his career. It is never a given that Zab beats anyone but props for beating Mabuza as now Zab is in the big picture at 140 again.

Zab is still a good fighter! I'd like to see him fight the stars at 140.. I think he could compete with them!

Only way we could know is let him fight the top dogs. Make Judah vs Alexander next.

    Maidana is fighting morales next
Khan has a fight next month then bradley after that.

Alexander is the only one avaialable. Judah vs Alexander make it happen:good

his defense will get better and his left hand is still potent ,he hurt the man with a short left his confident is back ,go Zab clean out the division.
