Wlad might be a number of things but a 'defense master' is a bit much. He controls the distance well, and in my opinion this has improved greatly under Steward but his main assets are the straight power punches. IF Haye can get by these then I think he has a good chance, but that is a big if and he'll inevitably have to take a shot to do so.

I'm just glad it's finally happening (pending them both getting to the date with no further injuries)

Now just waiting for Pac and Floyd to be made...

Good points. I would say that Haye has a better chance of recovering if hurt, since he doesn't panic as much and Wladimir does not go in for the finish as much either. Wladimir may be the more likely of the two to be able to get a one punch KO but I think Haye will win.

Here's how Haye reacts when he's hurt. Doesn't panic? Has a good chance of recovering? Oh please. Haye's rubber legs aren't any better than Wlad's when his chin gets cracked:

Spot on. People have been making him out to be amazing defensivly but he's not. He constantly throws out that range finder and mixs it up with jabs, left hooks and occaisionaly right crosses. He can do this because he uses his size properly but all he does on the inside is tie people up really. If Haye can time him properly he can catch him with big shots once past the jab. Easier said than done but do-able for Haye. I see this being cagey and ending early.

Haye deserves the credit for this fight happening as he has agreed to go to Germany, people should remmeber this

Hell would freeze over before Wlad would agree to fight Haye in England, that is a fact.

There is a British hatred on ESB that clouds the facts.

I'm not going to argue that Haye is iron chinned or the like. But not sure how relevant that amateur fight was to what will happen in June/July?

Both fighter's have suspect chins and can punch. It will either be short and explosive or dull, as neither will want to commit and leave themselves open for the counter.

Wlad is the champ fighting an unworthy contender with a belt he should have been awarded after beating Chagaev. He gets the credit.
