is it just me or does anyone else hate max kellerman?

:goodmuch with my boy teddy atlas, love him or hate him he speaks his mind and doesn't give a ****. personally, i think he's like one of us if we had the connections and got on air

I a cant stand Max. Hes smug and always shows favoritism. I do like when Roy puts him in his place though, so for that hes tolerable sometimes.

 

max boxed amateurs and participated in a golden glove tournament, he also worked his way up, how many of you idiots knew the guy that roy jones compared canelo to? because i had no idea who the **** he was but max did.

 

darrin van horn? EXACTLY. i had a vague ****ing recollection of seeing the name of esb, that's it but max could talk about him.

i was tempted to make a roy jones is a great commentator thread but stuff like that makes me realize, so is max

I dont really mind him

I also dont really mind other hated commentators like Atlas and Merchant

Everybody seems to dislike Kellerman but I dont see it

Merchant and Atlas, I respect their knowledge and their years of experience, though Merchant may have a slow delivery at times and he like Atlas like the corny phrases and metaphors I like them

I also like how they ask the tough questions

So often guys like Lampley get carried away on tangents and start riding a hype train

I really feel that when watching HBO like during say the last big PPV I saw Manny vs Margo

Margo hurt Manny to the body in like the 6th and Lampley made no commentary on this just kept talking about Manny and his dominance and outside the ring stuff. Maybe the most one sided commentary ever. Even when Margo landed they talked about Manny.

I know it was a very one sided fight but Margo was not without moments and showed a lot of courage.

I jsut hate one sided calling

 

I don't love his commentating but who else is there? There were some good guys in the 1980's like Al Bernstein and Dave Bontempo, but some where horrible like Ferdie Pacheco. I liked Ferdie's personality, but as a commentator he would say stuff during a fight which was almost like he were watching another fight. Alex Wallua was great.

I like Max. I really like Roy on the broadcasts, too.

 

i like max too, i dont think he is a jerk at all. i think he is forced to ask (by the network) at least some the edgy questions that he asks and i feel that he tries to be diplomatic with what he asks. he is biased i believe to some fighters, i remember him being very high on certain fighters, but never really bad mouthing anyone either. i think his thoughts are clear, concise and interesting, never thought of him and someone i couldent stand.

 

Can't stand Kellerman, but Lampley is worse. Only Wally Matthews is worse than Lampley.
