People are overrating Mayweather's chin and underrating his ability to survive. It's his will to stay in there that won him the fight and he continued to stay in front of Mosley and break him down. Gutsy performance but his know-how to survive and willpower to win won him the fight more than anything. Mosley NEVER was a 1 punch guy but he has impressive power. I think he'd get too jittery if he caught Pacquiao and wouldn't know how to finish him but Pacquiao wins. Off topic but a puncher's goal is to get their opponent out of there and that's why I would put Foreman over Shavers especially since Shavers never stopped someone of the calibre of Frazier. Shavers may have hit harder but I rate Foreman as a better puncher because he stopped someone more highly rated than Shavers did. I also think Armstrong's power get underrated because there's no footage of him stopping people and he did face durable mofos.
Of course it's possible, Mosley is the guy coming into this fight with the better chin, no-one can deny that. The age factor isn't on his side though but that's normal for Pac opponents. I still see this as a 60-40 fight in favour of the younger man but Mosley is very dangerous. 10 years ago he'd have taken Pacs head off, no doubt about that at all.
Power throughout? Shane gassed after only 2 hard rounds with Mayweather... and it's been my experience that when fans say that a fighter has "a puncher's chance" it usually means they have NO CHANCE. This fight is no different. Just another easy toss up by Top Rank in order to keep their cash cow making money. Shane is too old and he's always been prety easy to hit so I don't see him even making the distance let alone landing a miracle KO punch. Manny by 9th round TKO.
He gassed against Mayweather, one of the best defensive boxers/ counter punchers in the history of the game. A guy who possesses the skill set defensively that Manny will never be able to emulate Mosley was the same the whole fight energy wise and power wise, Mayweather just made him scared to throw punches. I agree Shane is way beyond his prime and is old and yes he is easy to hit, but like the saying goes styles make fights and Manny's style plays into Shane's strengths because he can take punches, and he can also unload and Manny loves to exchange when he is hit.
If Pac leaned into Mosley's best shot - then a one punch ko is certainly possible; highly unlikely, tho'.
Possible Mosleys LEFT HOOK is that probably that one punch That punch that sent Mayorga crashing to the canvas could very well be the punch that can take out Pacquiao
First thing Roach will do imo, is instruct Manny to stay away from Mosley early, to try make Mosley come to him. Mosley's power decreases as he gets tired, and Manny will be fresh enough early, to keep on the move.
Anyone high level boxer can end with one punch. The question is can you actually land that punch on the button. Mosley certainly can because pac does leave himself open at times but its unlikely since pacs skill+workrate should overwhelm mosley
Shane will never get that punch off because most of the time his hands will be planted in front of his face in guard blocking the nonstop assault of Pacquiao. Maybe a few years back Shane would have tried to punch between Pac's shots, but now he doesn't have the speed and he's a little gun shy. He was too scared to let go against Money, he isn't going to let go with Pac.
