I actually think Haye has a great chance.

good luck I guess he's gonna get destroyed if that's his actual plan. It'd be cool if he knocked out Wlad though ...but then he'd get recked by Vitali.

So instead of running for the shotgun he is going to stare down the barrel? Haye does not have a good enough defense, or chin to fight that way imo. Wlad wont make it easy for him to slip inside his leads, he never does, his cautious tentative nature means he doesn't overcommit to it, and when he puts it out there, he only puts it out there when he knows it has a % chance of landing.

Chris Byrd is a better mid range fighter than Haye, yet he couldn't stay in the pocket without eventually getting nailed.

Wlad is not as easy to get close to as what people think imo.

I can't watch the video, but if that's what he's saying, then I don't think he's being serious. Because, like you say, Wlad's too patient/cautious to give Haye a chance of doing that.

Despite the significance and demand for this, the fight itself will be a cagey, boring affair, with both guys being careful of each other's power.

If Haye stays on the outside and waits for his chance to land a big shot............he's probably more likely to start getting hit with Wlad jab. Which could be enough in itself to put Haye on ***** street.

Seriously, Haye has never faced anyone in this league. It's a monumental jump from Audley Harrison to Wlad obviously.

Haye's only chance is to start fast and look to land something big early.

watch the 1st round of peter-wlad II. peter did beautiful with the left hook landing clean on wlad's chin. haye could do the same thing. wlad is not unhittable as people think. he is human. the only difference is haye is not the same jack ass opponent that wlad is use to facing. he is gonna duck, dodge that jab all nite long. u can take that to the bank.

Haye tries to get close to Wlad, to draw leads and fight in the pocket, this is what will happen to him, he will do too much waiting cause Wlad is too tentative to put something out there that Haye can work his offense off, and whilst Haye is waiting for counter opportunities that are not coming due to Wlad's cautious nature, Wlad will break the dead space between the like this..

When Wlad misses the right in this situation, he will hold.

In fact, if this is Haye's idea it will perfectly suit Wladimir's plan to make Haye a pizza face for 11 rounds and knock him out in the 12th round.

:patsch:patsch:patsch Monte Barrett was landing the jab on Haye at will when he chose to do so.

From his statements, that's what I figured he would try to do. The only problem is that Wlad is great at timing his opponents. Haye is going to have to be really aggressive, get in and get out, and attack at angles. Otherwise, Wlad will pound Haye with the jab and catch him coming in with a big right.
