he got a world title a lot faster than jr, and how many fights do each have? more importantly, how many former champs have each beaten?
Why are people acting like GBP feeds their prospects bums when its the complete opposite. If anything they throw them to the wolves earlier than they should. Im more worried about Canelo getting fights that are much too tough under GBP than him getting cans.
Miguel Vazquez twice (Vazquez was above his ideal weight of 135, but still two very good wins) Gabriel Martinez Euri Gonzalez Lanardo Tyner Carlos Baldomir Lovemore N'Dou Matt Hatton You can even throw in Jose Cotto and Luciano Cuello. This is a damn good resume so far in the very early career of Canelo Alvarez. Most prospects/young top 20 contenders don't have resumes this good, this early.
I wonder if the kid would be getting so much hate if the WBC didn't throw a worthless belt in his last fight.
Probably not. But if youa re going to hold the belt, there comes expectations. He canb be a legitimate fighting champ, or be lik Berto. Hoping for the former.
