Canelo vs Lara

I don't know about punching harder, but Álvarez is definitely not more schooled than Lara.

 

In the pro ranks he most def is. What I mean by schooled is the one with more experince in the ring.

Lara might be the better fighter if thats what your reffering too. The dude went to the Cuban school boxing that only make you better technically.

Canelo is most def the harder punchers.

 

I like Lara, but I would pick Canelo, I think he's the better fighter.

 

I think Lara would beat him.

 

Lara is miles ahead of Canelo, dude, learn some boxing. Don't insult.

 

at a pro level he has faced much better opposition then lara.

 

Canelo is too easy to hit and a guy like Lara would tee off on him all night long. Lara at this point is better and Canelo would be smart to avoid Lara.

 

Lara only has 15 fights but the level of their opposition is similar nothing to write home about.

Worst fight in the world for Alvarez, to fight a quick technician who can box, move and has decent power. Golden Boy will never make that fight unless somebody screws up.

 

Couldn't agree more with fat Dan. The fight won't happen.

 

Canelo is a good fighter but Lara is the better boxer and has a laser left hand, I c that hand hitting the target every time he throws it.

 

Lara would win a decision I think.

 

Canelo has too many holes in his defence and Lara will take full advantage. Canelo showed great recovery ability after getting rocked by Cotto without holding and running, but straight fighting his way out of trouble. Against Lara Canelo is really going to have to demonstrate the ability to withstand punishment, cuz Erislany is going to be nailing him.

I do believe Alvarez has an edge in pro expirience, having more fights and fighting ex champs. But Lara gots way better technique, speed, timing, and accuracy. Let's see how much Canelo can improve in about 2 yrs. He's still young and I think he can still get better.

With all the hype around this kid, GBP just might make the mistake and throw him in too quick with the big dogs and ruin him. I've heard El Perro Angulo is licking his chops at a shot at that title ( that was fought at a ridiculous catchweight ).
