Maybe in that blinkered, cluster**** of nervous misfirings you call a brain, but real boxing fans know otherwise.

Think? He KNOWS he's the top 10 ATG British warriour.

Ruiz was very much still in his prime, a cracking achievement it was for The Haymaker.

LMFAO, you are such an ignoramus. Haye is by far and away the #1 HW now, with such a stellar career that makes both punk-ass Klits' combined look like the ****ing jokes they are.

Haye is the star, Wlad is the mere challenger and is going to get murdered on fight night...that is if he even has the balls to show up.

    This is so naive.

Regardless of what belts you have, you don't sit down to negotiate with someone who brings more money to the table and you say "we'll let you have 30% of your own TV deal'. That's ridiculous.

K2 entered negotiations asking for a 50:50 split - they realised that was a realistic amount to ask for, they was happy with it and it's what they got. Think about it - it must be a huge pay day for them if they're willing to drop their standard rematch and then other brother clauses in order to secure that 50:50 split.

It's what they asked for it's what they got. Both parties are happy - how can fans on a forum be the only ones bothered by this?

All through talk rather than merit. Is that really something to be proud of? What if Haye had actually earned it?

Maybe you should be blaming Wlad for being such a boring twat that nobody wants to see any of his fights outside of Germany?

Considering how he's switched people off to the HW division, he should be counting his lucky stars that Haye is bringing all this money to his door.

Blaming Wlad why? Blaming Wlad for Haye not fighting top 10 fighters to secure his place near the top? Wlad's bouts are still televised in the US. This fight would be so much bigger if Haye hadn't fought bums since moving to the heavyweight division. It's simply a mismatch in the eyes of anyone not propagandized by the British media and the Great Black Hope element of the boxing media.

I don't really care how many people are watching the heavyweight division in my particular country, the US. Why would I? I'm also not concerned about Wlad's finances as he consistently fills arenas and seems to manage his money well. Haye, on the other hand, is just looking for a retirement check. Hope it's worth the brain damage. I'm betting, come the later rounds, he'll judge it not to be and retire on his stool in honorable British fashion.

I was going to get into a debate with you and then I read the above and realised how pointless that would be.

    What?

What difference does it matter if it is merited? Do you think that holds up during negotiations? "Well - I personally don't think you deserve such a lucrative TV deal, so we're only going to let you have 30% of it. We'll have the rest"

Don't be daft. The fact is that there's millions of £s to be made from Haye's deal - K2 know it's better to get 50% of that than to risk getting none by playing hardball.

You wanna know how badly they want 50% of what Haye's bringing:

    - No Klitschko opponent gets anywhere near 50% of the purse. Haye does.
    - All Klitchsko contracts, including the one Haye originally signed (before he got his PPV deal), have rematch clauses involving both brothers. Haye has been offered a one fight, no rematches deal.
    - Wlad said he wanted to fight Chisora 8 weeks before Haye. Haye gave Wlad an ultimatum
    - 'it's me or Chisora'. Wlad pulls out of the Chisora fight and signs the Haye fight.

That should illustrate to anyone claiming that the Klits have been short changed at the negotiating table that they are VERY happy withx the contract, so there's really no need to keep going over it
The bottom line is that it's great for us fans that these fighters are able to agree terms and get in the ring.

If Haye didn't bring well over 50% of the money, K2 wouldn't even consider 50/50. Haye likely brings in over 65% which is why the Klitschko's are happy with their 50/50 cut.

Yawn. Ibragimov got 50% since it was a unification fight.

Ibragimov contract had no rematch clause. Neither do standard mandatory defenses.

Then why did Ibragimov get 50% -- Did he bring in all the money, too? :deal

Lets see if the fight really happens, I just don't see a legitimate fight happening out of all this, I see the Hayemaker pulling out last minute over some bull****. I can't see him getting in the ring as outgunned as he KNOWS he is. I don't believe Haye really thinks he can win this fight, his record/opposition at heavyweight doesn't help his argument either.

K2 could sell out just about anywhere anytime. Haye needs K2, not the other way around, hello!
