    Harrison was only reduced to doing that because he's not a very good fighter imo. A good fighter would of got off first with their speed and broke Haye's rhythm whilst Haye was waiting on them, stepping up to mid range looking for that opportunity to step off the line so he could attack, which is what he was doing against Harrison.


    Harrison first made the mistake of retreating, surrendering the middle of the ring, as Haye was always going to be more dangerous with his leverage on the front foot, where he could generate his power, sell out with punches whilst Harrison was going backward, putting it on Harrison, trying to disorganize Harrison.

    Harrison is the type of guy who wants to walk you into the left hand, which is why he paws so much with the jab, it encourages you to think you can walk in his front door, then when you try to walk in, he will try and drop the counter left on you, but that is all he does, he's a one trick pony. What happens when the guy beats you to the punch though, where by you cant get there with your left before he gets there? what happens when he doesn't walk in your front door? you become inactive, as your only looking for one punch. Haye knew he could not front door Harrison, and he knew exactly what Harrison was trying to do, as that is all he does, which is why he spoke about his sit back left hand, and why he was looking to get close to Harrison, then step off the line, Haye could step up cause he knows Harrison will only react with the counter if he tries to walk in the front door.

    I dont think Harrison utilizes the jab enough, cause he knows he doesn't put it out there properly, he pushes it, which means it easier to slip inside of.
