I hope you guys read my first thread
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278105

Now I'm about to show you guys some quotes and other facts about Pacquiao's career so don't get too offended. I don't want anybody walking around ignorant. You can thank me later :smooch

Now I give Pacquiao a lot of props for coming to America and taking on a p4p fighter like Barerra on and Marquez back to back when he was still developing. Not too long afterward, he faces Morales in defeat, but avenges that twice :good
But there are a few holes in his resume. People like to pick on Floyd for fighters that he didn't face, so it's only fair to do the same with Pac. Here's one fighter that I have a question about.

    Joan Guzman
Joan Guzman and Manny have been at Super Featherweight together for a few years. If you look at the rankings, (click that link )you can see in 2006+2007 that the top fighters were Erik Morales, Marquez, Barrera, Pacquiao and Guzman. Pacquiao fought 3 of those guys, but why not Guzman? He fought the other guys a combined 7 times and about to be 8 times, but never Guzman.
Why didn't they fight Guzman after Jorge Solis instead of Barrera(who they already beat convincingly).
I wanted to give Pacquiao a pass for this one until I saw this
“Freddie Roach, out of his own mouth said he would never let Pacquiao fight Joan Guzman when they were both top guys at 130. That came out of his trainer’s mouth, that’s a fact.” - John David Jackson
Sounds fishy if you ask me.

    Zahir Raheem
Most people know Morales beat Pacquiao, then lost to Zahir Raheem and then faced Pacquiao in the rematch. I understand Manny still wanting to avenge his loss, but why didn't he fight Raheem after the rematch. I know you can say that Pacquiao would spark Zahir, but I'm sure people though Morales would too.

    Nate Campbell and Juan Diaz
I won't get into this one, but Team Pacquiao's decision to fight David Diaz is questionable instead of the higher ranked Campbell and Juan Diaz. They moved up in weight and picked on the lowest rated belt holder.

    Shane Mosley

This one is pathetic, just look at the video
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBWNOyrHKKo&feature=player_detailpage#t=415s :-(
This was after the Margarito fight and before Floyd and Mora. I guess he's declined enough for them to fight him.

    Yuri Foreman
This one baffles me. Here's a quote from Kunt and Bob
"Manny's concerned about Foreman's height. We'll go through the entire (welterweight and junior welterweight) categories and see what we can come up with," - Michael Koncz
"I don't think Manny would fight Yuri Foreman because he says Yuri is too tall" - Bob Arum
They were trying to set this fight up after the first failed Mayweather negotiations before Clottey was brought up. This excuse would fly with me, except for the fact that Yuri is the same height as Oscar and Margarito.

Now I don't blame Manny for most of these things. Most of the blame should go to his team, but like I said, I'm just giving facts and quotes. This is all I'll give you guys for now, hope you enjoyed :thumbsup

    Sergio Martinez
Now before I start, I want you to know that I personally don't blame Pacquiao's team for not taking this fight. This fight really is unreasonable, but I just want people to see Arum's response to Martinez.

Arum- "It's a fight that's a little crazy because Manny gets in the ring at 147 or 148. Sergio Martinez, even if he could make 150-pounds, which I don't know if he can, gets in the ring at 175. So you're asking Manny to spot a fighter like Sergio Martinez 27-pounds, which is unheard of."
Arum says it's a possible fight down the road, but he "wouldn't recommend it."

Roach says he likes the fight, but it has to be at 147 (he later changes that to 150). I believe when he says stuff like that, it lets me know that he really doesn't want the fight. Just like when he told Mosley to come down to 140.

    Juan Manuel Marquez

Yes they fought him twice already, but there was controversy in both and both fights could have gone either way. What I'm arguing though is they stalled the rubber match in hopes of Marquez to get old enough. They almost got away with this duck, but Micheal Kuntz opened his mouth again.

Now I personally wanted this fight at 140 or below in place of the Mosley fight. Really the sooner the better.

You know Pac would have had to go up to 154lbs to fight this guy right? This after fighting Cotto at a catchweight of 145lbs at WW. You know like he wasn't even that comfortable at WW yet then you want him to fight a guy who's 5'11" at 154? You are a ******ed ass hater.

Besides did you even see Foreman's fight with Cotto? You really think he could have beaten Pac?

there was a vid of roach sayinghe wanted foreman, but pac said no due to foreman's height....also, to the guy who said many just fought cotto @ 145 thus he wasn't yet comfortable....you forgot the clottey fight happened also, at 147

basically, he didn't want to fight an actual JrMW, so he fought margo

title is joke now anyway....back to back CWs between WWs for a vacant title at a CW....gooooo WBC, asshats

Yeah Pac ducked them all and then cherrypicked De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley. The nerve of that former light flyweight.

its sad that boxing fans have to reach and twist logic to find some dirty **** on boxers.

Pac and every other boxer has fought some people, and while he's fighting one person, he's ducking ten others. It's just ******ed

Four of those guys are ****ing nobodies. Besides Mosley, who he's fighting next, Guzman is the only one who could have A level talent, and he's ****ed up his career, which is heading nowhere.

As for Mosley, Pac chose Cotto over him, who's a bigger draw and better boxer, and who had beaten Mosley. Certainly beats Mayweather's excuse for choosing Baldo over Margo, if you wanna talk cherry picking

pac wasn't ready for Raheem and Guzman.

Guzman/Pac would still be an interesting fight today since Guzman doesn't like to make weight. Might as well make it for the 154 crown.
