June the 11th ? That means we deffo won't be seeing Gavin take his title anytime soon. Gavin probably out in May and Theophane out in June. We'll prob not see this till at least August. Hopefully Gavin doesn't stick around waiting for Theophane and goes either Commonwealth or Euro route. The Brits obviously the bigger one for the lad, however if Ashley wants to start daft games then Gavin shouldn't be marking time. He's good enough for domestic/Euro/Commenwealth honours now!
That's what everybody presumed mate however he said something about how's he's not going to and how it would spite Gavin. There's a thread not too many pages back on it I think
He said on BBC London in Jan 2011 that he would vacate, go back to America and fight for a world title. Fighting in Germany and then fighting Frankie will make him MORE money, trust me. In America the Daws win carries no weight and it will look like he has just taken six months or more off. In UK the Daws win carries the British title and Frankie x 2 want that. It should be a no-brainer for the people in control of AT. Adios.
Also in America most think he got a gift agaisnt Rodrigurez. At the moment if Theophane faced Frankie Gavin it would be "Frankie Gavin fighting for the British title". If Ashley keeps up the trash talking (gavin is not on my level....i am gonna be world champ....etc) the fight becomes "Frankie Gavin vs Ashley Theophane for the British title" and thaty means an extra 0 on the end of his pay cheque.
Nice theory but where is he gonna say this? On boxing websites or forums. The only ones who will go to fight are Gavin's Zulus who would have gone to his first British title fight anyway. Its keeping Warren waiting till near purse bids that will get him more money not hyping it.
