    It did look like he was playing possum, but i think he was a lot more hurt than he let on. A double bluff so to speak

    Alex....Let's all just give BOTH men the utmost credit for putting on the fight of a lifetime,giving and taking copious amounts of punishment which would have seen lesser fighters off way before the halfway mark.

    Perfect setting, at Madison Square Garden.

    8th march 1971. the world stopped spinning for 1 hour while ali and frazier sorted it out. for me, not just the biggest fight of all time, but the biggest sporting event of all time.

    Easily the best fight of the trilogy and the only one that had the real Joe Frazier!!!!!

    Key point in the fight,,,,the last 60-seconds of Round 4.
    Joe Frazier turned it around.
    Muhammad Ali had controlled for the first 2-minutes, and had landed some real
    hard shots on Joe, and was well on way to winning that key round.
    Then Joe found the range with the left hook,,,,,,,,

    I was born in 75.Missed this one and had to catch the replay years later.:lol:

    I would agree with that for the Simple reason that both guys were at or nearest their best when this took place!

    was the best and most important as both hadnt been beaten and it proved who was the better fighter.
