I think Jones goes through Shogun like he's not there. Jones TKO by GNP R1.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jones does, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if Shogun clips Jones and finished him.

These guys are both very high level, I think maybe some people over-estimate Shoguns ability to get back to his feet after he's taken down..

I also think some people over-estimate Jones' standup which he needs to set up takedowns.

We know Shogun is a lethal striker, able to take advantage of the slightest weaknesses, and uncanny ability to finish a hurt opponent.

I think both groups are overconfident in their fighters. Huge fan of both guys btw. Just calling it how I see it.

Also incredible ****ing slam right there. Jones' moves are so unpredictable and effective, joy to watch him fight.

Oh of course. I'm obviously not saying that is exactly what WILL happen, just that it is the outcomes I see everytime i run through the fight in my imagination. JJ will end up a HW IMO, the guy is freakishly long limbed etc.

He just seems to be able to do exactly what he wants when he wants with reguards to standing or taking it to the mat. His reach is such that guys like Shogun have to throw from the outside which makes the takedown relativley easy. No doubt that Rua is JJ's hardest and best opponent to date but style wise I think it will take more than a heavy handed striker to trouble JJ. Can't see him getting hit tbh as he doesn't have to 'get in the pocket' for any reason whatsoever.

He's hardly on the same level as Rua in the stand up though is he. He'll be a danger in the clinch and in top position on the ground but I doubt Shogun will be worried about a grazing spinning strike

Jon Jones is amazing at making guys fight his fight and outstanding at getting them down and walking through them. I don't think Jones will try to stand with Rua. If he gets him down, I think he has the potential to make it a short night.
