Seriously? Okay, this is the 3rd or 4th time I've had to repeat this so I'll make it a bit bigger so you can see it... Lefty answered this a few pages back, go back and read it.

Look mate, don't inspect my diet, I'm not a professional athlete and you aren't my coach. On the same scale, I am not an aspiring athlete and I'm not looking for advice on how to bulk up. I'm a regular man who keeps himself fit.

If you think gymnasts don't lift weights you are mistaken.
And sure they do lift themselves in a variety of ways, if you can train as a gymnast and that's your thing, go for it! They develop tremendous strength no doubt and are incredible physical specimens.

Something about leg strength and punching power? Yeah, not what I asked, or to whom I asked.

So tell me why one armed pull ups and planches will not build power.

    Fixed.

Serious question, why would you want to weigh 140lbs at 6 feet tall? You said you don't box anymore. It's not attractive to women, it's definately not intimidating to other men. What is it? I'm sure if somebody came up to you and asked what your perfect build would be I very much doutb you'd say I want to weigh 140lbs instead of weighing say 180lbs

Some do, I'm sure, but that's why I said many, if not most, do not. They build their strength with bodyweight exercises, they are just exceptional with them and develop the harder progressions; planches, front levers, one armed pull ups and so on... That's the sort of **** I want to be able to do. I can do the planche, just, and will continue developing it; like I said, I'm strong for my size already and have noticed my strength going up tenfold since I've started really doing this **** regularly. For some reason this thread has turned into scrutiny of my own routine, which, quite frankly I couldn't give a **** if it's optimal for bulking or not. That's not what I'm into. I've set myself a routine at the moment that I'd like to be able to carry on with until I'm sixty years of age.

So instead of answering the question you go for insults, something which you condemned earlier. How about answering it? I'm answering yours, even provocative ones; like I said, I've got a nice shape for a skinny one. Maybe I've got a bigger dick than you and don't feel the need to overcompensate, I don't know.

Virus, nobody else; please answer why you think planches and one armed pull ups won't build power. Because that's what you said.

Insult? Did you read the part that said "Serious question"? I'm wondering why anyone would want to be so skinny. Why you've come out with something about the size of your ***** I don't know.

I don't really see the point of this question as it's irrelevant and has already been answered by two different people. If you want to have this hard-on for me to answer this question then carry on, mate. MrSmall answered and wants to know your views on the matter.

Well I think you're too caught up on 'must get stronger, must lift heavier.' Nothing wrong with being able to static hold for longer or bang out repetitions for longer, infact, in many ways that kind of strength is more applicable and practical.

  12. Why are you talking about intimidating other men for  , im 5'9 and weigh between 130/140 and im not intimidated by a 180lbs meathead whatsoever , anyone intimidated by size is wimp ?

Difference is, you claimed that planches and one armed pull ups wouldn't develop power. Like, at all. If you didn't mean that and just got carried away, just say.

Good point actually. Big blokes don't really intimidate me, though perhaps that has something to do with me knowing I can box and thinking they can't.

Some guys train for this (no not myself if that's what you're attempting to imply).

Good for you. I'm sure if a 6'5" 300lbs pissed off guy came up to you I'm sure you'd be intimidated but then again he's only more than twice your size and you'd be a wimp to be intimidated by that ***** wouldn't you? It's natural to be intimidated by a guy that's bigger than you, you don't have to try and act like you wouldn't be just because it's the Internetz.
