When else has such a ridiculous contract been made for a unification fight?

its ridiculous.so haye trains for wk for 10 weeks lets say then wk decides hes not fighting then vk steps in,they are 2 completely different fighters except for size and would need to be trained for in different ways.imo both beat haye anyway but this is just nonesense

    Exactly this.

Adamek signed it for the payday. He's the most overrated heavy out there.

Not that I think Haye will come away with anything other than an L on his record.

What difference does it make if he claims to fight both brothers in his next two fights then retire. He has ran long enough and if WLAD is really hurt what does it matter if he fights VITALI first. Either way he will lose both fights no matter what order he takes them in.

i feel vitali is better than wlad...

but wlad has the far superior resume. it's not even close.

adamek has **** all to lose.

& correct me if i'm wrong...but haye ain't bitching. he wants the fight & has gone out of his way to make it. it would have been signed & sealed already if wlad wasn't dicking about. :deal

because when you go into camp to train for one fighter then thats whos style and attributes your training to overcome.so if they where to switch or even to have the doubt that it could happen is unfair.its utter bs but thats boxing for you

Adamek and Haye have had very similar careers and resumes. It is very debatable who has had better career accomplishments and even accomplishments as a HW. They are two quite known fighters with large followings and Adamek has a larger US fan base. I'm not sure what would make Adamek any more desperate than Haye to get a title shot. If anything it was Haye who was under the gun, since Adamek signed the contract first and it is Haye who has a self imposed premature retirement date. As for Haye not bitching..............puhlease...he's been yanking everyone's chain about facing the Klitchkos from the first day he set foot in this division. It took Haye years and a number of cancellations, conferences and media spats to hammer out an agreement.Adamek signed the contract in a few days without any head games or juvenile antics. Adamek is not desperate. He just wants the belt more.

So you think that Wlad and Vitali will both be in training camps simultaneously just so either one is ready to fight Haye on fight night?

Or is it possible that one will have to step in at the last second with no camp?

Either way it looks like any disadvantage to Haye is more than matched by disadvantages to the Klitschkos.

Having a guaranteed replacement for a title fight, which means that the event (and the payday) is intact is a ****ing incredible thing. I mean it is really, historically astonishing.
No more "Fighter gets injured, fight delayed for 6 months or a year. Sucks to have bought plane tickets".

wot utter nonesense.likewas said before, its not the klitschkos vs the world theyre 2 seperate fighters and should do their business seperately.and i can assure you they havent gone out of their way to accomodate haye in this contract nor will vk be stepping into the ring with no training camp behind him

never fails to make me laugh how the klit fans will bllindly try and defend the indefensable

i'd have a lot more respect for the klit fans if they came out and spoke a few facts like

"boxing is not a team sport"

"these contracts stink and are a disgrace to the sport of boxing"

"anywhere, anytime to vlad means - i have to have all my terms or i won't fight haye"

"vlads treatment of chisora was a disgrace and he is basically a blatant liar. he doesn't care that he's made all his fans look stupid on esb with his blatant bull****"

"vlad is a ***** and wants big brother vitali to do his dirty work for him"

"vlad has the equivelant chin of an 86 year old grandmother after she has drunk 15 pints of guinness"

fighters pull out with injuries and get replaced all the time. I don't get the idiots bitching about Vitali being the backup fighter. Who would you rather to step in to save the date in case Wlad is injured? Audley Harrisson?

When the back up fighter is better then the primary, there is an incentive for the primary to slip out and let the back up fighter do his work for him. That's why there is outrage.

one of them is a current champion who made millions for fighting an absolute bum in his last fight & destroyed him with ease.

one of them is not a current champion & he has made peanuts fighting against a string of absolute bums he has struggled badly against.

what could possibly make me think that one of those might have slightly more leverage when it come to negotiating a fight? :patsch
