i think a fight now does work in his favour but not due to wlad getting old, i just think that the haye of 2011 stands a much better chance than the david haye of 2009 when they were originally scheduled to fight.

hayes had time to settle at the weight and get some more valuable experience in which will no doubt stand him in good stead for this time around...

Massive fight, dont quote me on this but I think its been 16 long years since a scotsman fought on HBO, last one of course being Gary Jacobs fighting Pernell Whittaker. Craigs gonna have it all against him as we all know America loves the irish, HBO love Manny Steward, so Craig is going to need to put on a masterclass to get the nod in this one, cos hes getting no favours here!

Craig needs the wise head of Roach in his corner, to hear that he wont be there makes me pretty sad to be honest, I just hope Craig realises hes better than Lee & imposes himself, cos IMO Craig is the better fighter, but Im just scared that the event is gong to be too big for him...

They have both ducked each other, so why is Haye only getting the stick...?? David Haye is a buisness man just like Muhammad Ali was and Floyd Mayweather, when it comes to building the fight. These Kiltschko fights are bigger than they would of been in 2009 or 2010.

I always always stated that David Haye would face the Kiltschko's and anyone, who did'nt believe this. Are idiots, they don't know boxing and they don't understand David Haye as a fighter or man.

David Haye is a showman and loves the limelight. He always has since he was a young amatuer fighter, did you guys really think he was going to turn down the biggest show in heavyweight boxing since Tyson Vs Lewis..? and David Haye has the starring role..??

No worries mate. I think both the Scottish lads are up against it but are are live underdogs. I didn't know about Roach not being in the corner, thats a bad sign from a tactical standpoint and, as you say, for McEwans confidence.

I had Simpson winning the first fight against Smith but a lot of times its the younger prospect that does better the second time around rather than the experienced fighter...

I take pretty much everything you say with a pinch of salt, but that's probably one of the most insightful things said about Haye on these boards. Behind all the boasts, bragging and general assholery, I believe there is a supremely self-confident fighter who wants to show the world what he's made of and make his mark on history. I'm in work and Youtube is blocked but I'd say Lewis-Tyson in 2002 was bigger than Haye-Wlad in 2011. Maybe debateable from a skills point of view as both Lewis and esp. Tyson were past their best by then but from purely which was the bigger fight then its bigger than Haye-Wlad.
