DLH could leap in and leap out of danger like Pacquiao can, but he certainly had comparable hand speed.

Pacquiao just doenst match up well with Whitaker. He matches up well with Floyd because Floyd doesnt use his legs like he used to and fight off the back foot as sweet pea.

Pac would have to stalk Pea and with Pea's footwork and jab wouldnt be a favorable night for the Pac Man.

Yeah, remember when Trinidad, one of the most powerful single-punch welters of all time knocked out a prime Whitaker? Oh, wait...

The judges will probably award an SD (either fighter) or a draw, which will be controversial, like Sweet-Pea's other hi-profile fights.

But Pac will be frustrated for sure, and will look stupid, like everyone else, if he went for the KO.

Now now calm down son. Pea was past his prime, but not shot. Shot is when he got embarrassed in his last fight against that journeyman. I give credit to Pea though, past his prime and I think a draw was fair in that fight with Oscar. Pacman like Floyd both lose to Whitaker. That or he gets robbed like he usually did in big fights.

It depends who's throwing. Mayorga throwing 1000 punches at Pernell is not the same as Pac throwing 1000 punches at Pernell.

The key is WHO is going to do the high volume punching.

Yeah, like Pac is some kind of flat footed boxer. :patsch

Pea's feather fists won't do anything to back Pac up. Yes, Pac will look silly at times like De La Hoya. But ultimately, you win with offense, not defense.

Had Chavez not gassed, that fight with Pea could have been a legit draw. Not only is Pac faster than Chavez, he throws a lot more, has better footwork, and will not ever gas. Pac never really goes for a KO. The KO happens through accumulation of punches.

    Pac by UD.

THe key is emmanuel isn't going to be able to have a high volume. Marquez was able to control his workrate.

Sweet Pea, would win a UD. Nobody can knock out Whitaker, Pacman could possibly win on workrate if sweet pea was as inactive as he was against De La Hoya.

That Gif shows pernell doesn't move the body to much, DLH missed because he head hunts, Pac aint a head hunter anymore. Well not at least he slowed down his opponents.

You also risk being countered going to the body. Pernell was a master at countering.
