emmanuel was troubled by Marquez countering and Solis head movement. Whitaker can counter, move his head, and throw combos.

Pernell's jab lands extra easily on emmanuel due to both of them being southpaws.

His workrate was controlled in the first fight too.

Why is Pernell going to brawl? He can stick and move unlike Cotto.

Remember when emmanuel made sure to stay away from Zahir Raheem, who is a Sweet Pea wannabe?

I ain't saying he's gonna brawl. Damn it, Being in an exchange doesn't mean its brawling. When Pernell punches he can't move away at the same time. Thats where the magic happens

147lb Pacquiao just walks through Whitaker's punches. Pacquiao is too fast for Whitaker and has too much footwork and foot speed, Whitaker wouldn't land anything other than jabs and occasional left after he feels Pac's power.

By the 9th round Whitaker would be retreating and just landing jabs whlie Pacquiao piles up rounds. Anytime whitaker opens up he would just get countered. Pacquiao can counter punch whitaker and outbox him from the outside to a UD, too fast and too powerful.

Whitaker has a great jab and would dodge a lot of stuff, but in the end Pea would not land enough punches to win the fight.

No.. Pac was troubled by Marquez combination punching and power shots... Solis did **** but get ko'd.. This was the first time Pac ran for office and was pondering retirement before this fight even happened..

Pac's footspeed, footwork, stamina negated all that. Ultimately, you win with offense. De La Hoya didn't need great footwork to beat Whitaker, just speed, volume, and relentless tenacity. In the end, Pernell really didn't have enough answers for a swarmer like Oscar. His feather fists did nothing to Oscar's granite chin. A Pac-Whitaker fight ends the same way for Pea.

 Exactly what I was thinking. Pacman who isn't really much of a counterpuncher counterpunching Sweet Pea who is probably the greatest defensive fighter ever, a master of timing? Absolutely ridiculous.

Juan for hire was picking his shots. He didn't have a high workrate in that fight. His average punch count per round was 2-3 more than Mayweather. Juan was countering him with single shots, 2 punch, and 3 punch combos. Not what we'd call mad combination punching. Even Floyd does 3 punch combos sometimes.
