You rather miscalculculated when you stated that Wlad took longer to defeat Rahman than Lewis took.

That, and ONLY that, was the portion of your post to which I responded, clearly demonstrating the error of your trollification.


The remainder of your backtracking and puffery is rather beside the point.

And all quite unnecessary, as I'm aware of Lennox's accomplishments in the Ring.

I'm a fan and I rank the man # 3 alltime in my list of HW greats.

And I'm equally aware that Wklad suffers somewhat from comparisons to such a figure.


Still, in this instance, Lennox got careless and needed another 'kick at the cat' as they say.

This could very well turn out to be a boring one sided beat down. I give Haye about 25% I think that's a fair shot. I base that on what both have done at heavyweight.. Haye is cashing out and he knows it. Haye's defense is awful. And this talk of movement makes me laugh. Haye's footwork is terrible, I really don't think he will be able to avoid Wlad's jabs. Haye has not proven one punch KO power, Wlad has. Haye isn't going to KO Wlad with one punch, and he looks like he's fighting with his sister when he goes in for the kill. Not a good finisher. I do think this will be a mismatch in many ways. The only chance Haye has is a puncher's chance. Anything can happen though, I have to say I'm interested in seeing it. Though I really think Haye's going to get beat up really bad and he knows it. He's cashing out. But hey (No pun intended) he'll be set for life, but he'll remember that beating for the rest of his life!:tired

- You don't just stand in front of Wlad and let him jab you
- If you stand too close to Wlad he WILL grab and lean on you to wear you down
- Wlad does not throw his right hand at a moving target, he has to be certain it'll land.

Everything points towards using footwork to keep Wlad from setting himself, measuring range and throwing his 1-2. He'll be waiting for Wlad to over commit on something and then try to get inside, punish him and get back out before he's tied up. If you're going to call that being a ***** then I think you should stick to watching Rocky movies.

Haye has a slim enough chance as it is. That diminishes to zero chance if he tries to stand in the pocket and trade with Wlad. It's a basic principle of any sport that you play to your own strengths and try to stop your opposition from doing the same. You appear to be more of the mindset that anything other than making things as easy as possible for your opponent is being a *****. Good luck with that

 

Seeing as how we can't come close to a consensus on how this fight will actually go down, that seems proof enough its a good match. And at heavyweight, between 2 champions. Cracking stuff.

Wlad KO8. Haye is bad for boxing. If he does win, though, I hope its in entertaining fashion.

 

Im a big Haye fan but the OP has a point. Wlad is the best heavyweight of this era and haye is his biggest competition but that doesnt exactly mean Haye will win this or even put up a good fight. Wlad should win this easy.
