Except he hasn't been fighting bums over the last few years. Guys like Bika, Miranda, Andrade, etc that the others fought before entering the tournament. Dirrell lost to Froch and beat abraham who you admit isn't that good, then leaves the tournament. His resume stinks yet you claim he'd beat Bute. You claim Bute could beat the not so good Kessler, who Ward beat, while Bute beat Sakio more convincingly. Then Ward also fought Green who is clearly not that good either. Your argument is **** give it up.

Resume's do not fight. Fighters do.

    All that BS, for nothing.
The difference is DURING and AFTER the Super Six. Not what happened prior. :patsch

I'm still not convinced that Bute didn't duck out of or more likely, underestimate the Super Six Competition.
Seems like his management is incompetent for not getting him into the tournament, and even more incompetent for not making him MEANINGFUL fights while waiting for the Super Six to complete.

A fighter's resume is a list of his accomplishments, and at what level.
Clearly, Bute has accomplished ****, and his level of competition is "B" level at best.
He is the least favored against any of the Super Six contestants.:yep

Bute has been brought up very carefully, it's true. I used to wonder about his power, but that has been continually improved upon. his style in 07 was a lot like prime kessler, but without the pop. since then his power has improved dramatically, and his speed is edging closer and closer to a triple A fighter. he's also one of the cleanest fighters, which would either make or break the fight with both ward and froch, who's stylea are a lot rougher. i think though that bute would keep ward at bay with his footwork and extension, maybe more trouble with froch.
you are perhaps right to say he's untested against super 6, but i do think you underestimate him. i guess we'll see, i hope soon.

imo, he'd have most trouble with froch.

    Fear of stepping up?

Tell me who he should've fought in the last 2 years. I'm only asking or 1 name.

    Let's say Bute's accomplishments are "B" level.

That means that he succeeds at "B" level, not that he would fail at "A" level.:patsch

If I run the 100 meter in 15 seconds and win the race, that doesn't mean I can't run it in 12 seconds.

Who do you want him to fight??? ALL the TOP suppermiddle are in the Super Six and Bute repeatedly said that he want to clean the 168lbs division BEFORE moving up...He can't fight fighters who are not available...Like he and his team said many times before, he will fight the best 168 pounders AVAILABLE while waiting to fight the winner of the Super Six...He won't go up until he has clean the SuperMiddle...

Bute is a lot like Pavlik to me. Pavlik beat JT 2x's which was the best of that career. JT couldn't handle a lefty. Anyway Bute's lack of competition and a lot of guys in that weight class is based on what Pavlik stated when being interviewed about joining the super six when Kessler pulled out. Kelly bravely stated, " why should I get my brains beat out for no money?"

Weather you think Bute can compete with them or not is your opinion but to say he cant because he's been fighting bums while the others have been fighting top fighters is stupid and people say it all the time.

The best fighter Andre Ward fought before the super six was Edison Miranda and he went in and beat Kessler rather easily.:patsch

Froch's wins over Taylor, Pascal, Reid and Magee are better then Bute's resume esp at the time the super six began. But you are right about the rest of the guys.

Oh wait and Taylor himself had a better resume by miles. Dont know if you're including him though or just guys left in the super six.

    Oh and Glen Johnson.....
