haye vs RJJ from the montell griffin rematch who would win

    the jones who put griffin away in a single round had destructive power at 175 he would have a huge chance at beating haye that fought mormeck,
    the current heavyweight version of haye i'm unsure about, haye has an abysmal punch output, but has good power himself (i dont consider haye a KO artist), he's good on his feet but he has poor stamina. jones had excellent footwork and athleticism as well as some of the fastest hands of the last 30 years in boxing. but if haye landed clean on his chin there's every possibility he could end up going down.
    what do u guys believe?

    I don't believe Roys punch resistance was as bad leading up to the Ruiz fight as it would be after his subsequent drop back to 175lbs.

    However, I've never believed him to have a stern chin. And against Ruiz he still had his legs. As Hayes balance is so bad and his ring IQ much lower than Rous I imagine Jones can outmanouver and outwork Haye, using his amazing movement to stay out of range then shooting in with singles and quick combos and spinning out and repeating. It would have to be a super cautious performance with enough eye catching work to get the rounds. Roy isn't going to come out like he did against Griffin, that Roy isn't suited to a fight with Haye at Cruiser or Heavy IMO, even if it was amongst his most mind blowing displays.

    But Haye is fast, much bigger, and hits hard enough to get Roy out of there at some point. Roy was going for history, and picked on a guy that favoured him stylistically despite the size differential. It was a good, hard-fought win but Toney notched far better wins as an out-of-shape veteran getting by on an iron chin and skills alone.

    And please, nobody quote the above part and write '....and 'roids'' please :lol:

    The James Toney that faced Evander Holyfield, Vs Heavyweight Haye, that's better :yep
