Ward beat Miranda before Bute.

Bute beat Bika before Ward.

Clearly Ward fought the better Miranda.

Bika was ranked #8 in the division when Bute beat him. Bika was ranked #6 when Ward beat him. So, your statement is not correct as you make it sound.

Wards win over Kessler stomps all over Bute's four best wins combined. Then Wards' other wins easily carry him over Bute's remaining resume.

I think Bute is very good, but at this point, it is talent over accomplishment if you fancy him a top 15 P4P'er or a better super middle than Ward, Froch, or Kessler.

I don't say that Bute resumee is better than Ward's...What I'm saying is that BEFORE the Super Six started all of these fighters except Kessler were on the same level than Bute speaking of resumee...Now Froch, Ward and Kessler have surely a better resumee that Bute BECAUSE they are in the Super Six and are fighting each others repeatedly...Its not Bute's fault if he was'nt invited...Even Ward stated that he did'nt understand why Bute was'nt there...

 

You don't even make sense. You say one thing, then the opposite in the next sentence.

Why do you say Ward fought the better Miranda? Because he fought him before Bute? Then your logic is that a fighter gets worse with time. Because it's not like Miranda took the kind of punishment in the Ward fight or in fights betwee the Ward fight and the Bute fight. So it's gotta be that a fighter gets worse with time, right?

Then if a fighter gets worse with time, how can Bika be ranked higher as time goes by? And if the "official" ranking makes your opinion the truth (that the Bika Ward fought is better than the Bika Bute fought), then you have to take the same "official" ranking and argue that Bute is the 2nd best SMW right now, don't you think?

All i got to say is... I got Bute beating everyone but Ward.... if they fight, I got Ward by UD.. but it would be a close and good fight based on styles....

 

Bute's style being the more entertaining style of course.... think Ward wuld not be able to smother him like he does to most other opponents but that is fine because I think Ward truly can fight on the outside.. should be a good fight

 

How do you know what kind of power he has?
He hasn't fought any meaningful fights to make a decision.
He was almost KO'ed by "B" level Andrade.

Beating up on tomato cans is no way to gauge a fighter's skills.
Miranda is like Mayorga. You can't gauge a fighter by these type of fights.

 

Obviously he has to possess so level of skills to even be mentioned. However, I see a lot of the Frank Warren management technique in Bute's team and expect Bute's final resume to look even worst than Calzaghe's. :yep

The point of the thread is, Bute is another Calzaghe style hype who has fought no one to justify his high ranking.
Those saying he has power must have gotten that impression from his hyped articles or from watching him punch a bag, because he sure hasn't displayed it against high level competition. Not even once.
