Getting a little over-emotional don't you think? Your replies don't even match up with what I posted.

Let me reword what I posted.

Pernell Whitaker is not known as a power puncher. His low KO% despite his high win percentage is evidence of this.

It really doesn't matter if he is a big power puncher. He is not a soft puncher either. Dude if you ever boxed you would know that punches hurt and as a fighter you deal with it. Whitaker had enough pop to make Manny respect him.

No formal boxing training. We had some boxing equipment at our college some time back and a heavy bag at a friend's house. Worked out 1 time at the Wild Card.

Yes, feather fisted was a stretch and a term usually reserved for the likes of Paulie Malignaggi and Yuri Foreman. My point was Pea won't ever put anyone to sleep. If Cotto and Margarito couldn't back Pac off with their best shots, I doubt Pea would do any better.

Dude Pea was way faster than Cotto and Margarito and you must understand that Manny seen those shots coming. Whitaker could catch him with a shot he doesn't see or a counter shot as Manny is shooting in that could really hurt him.

Pea would be break dancing while Pac was shadow boxing behind him.

I could see it happening, although Pea's actual KO% against many lesser opponents states that it's unlikely.

the question is Pac knocking out Pea..

why is this OUT of the realm of possibility?

Sweet Pea is one of the greatest technicians. Pac's one of the most devastating punchers period.

VERY GOOD Matchup. but all you pac haters...keep fantasizing because that's all you got.

I don't want to get into the debate that this thread has transcended into but (as someone before may have pointed out) Pea fought two of the hardest hitting welters since Curry, Hearns and Leonard in de la Hoya and Trinidad. At no point did de la Hoya have Pea hurt, and Trinidad (hardest one punch hitter since Hearns at 147 in my opnion) broke Peas jaw yet Pea went on till the very end.

Sorry, don't see Manny knocking him out, I think Manny could of course pick up a win against a 147 Pea BUT I would favour Pea. Thats me though. I do however think the point I made above is extremely relevant to this debate.
