I rewatched that Valuev-Haye fight, and I very carefully scored it round by round, leaning over backwards to give the benefit of every doubt to Haye - and it was an ordeal because it was one of the worst, if not the worst, heavyweight championship fights in history - and the best I could come up with, stretching it to the max, was a draw for Haye, which means that Valuev retained the title. I posted my round by round and nobody refuted a single thing I wrote, just the kiddy name calling and posting of little cartoon pictures that you see the nitwits doing on here day and night. Even the biased British tv announcers were shocked when they gave the decision to Haye!

That wasn't the point of my original post at all, and I suspect you know it.

I was responding to a stupid comment with one of my own, you just chose to hump my leg about it....it's all good but you still missed the point I'm afraid.

Yeah, Jim Watt and the other guy (Drake?) gave the fight to Valuev. I was amazed Haye scraped the decision and still am. Haye was a disgrace that night and shamed boxing. He won't get away with the same stunt against Klitschko.

Got to admit, I was pulling for Haye in this fight. In the 12'th round I was shouting at the TV 'knock this punk out', when Valuev was rocked, because I believed Haye was down on the scorecards by a country mile

I'm not going to lie, but I was absolutely shocked to learn Haye one the WBA belt in such manner. I genuinely thought Haye lost the fight, and it was a shitty performance by Haye in my opinion. Even Ruiz, Holyfield, Chagaev outboxed Valuev, and more convincingly.

Haye is riding on pure trash talking, living off the Klitschko name. Haye has fought garbage at HW, yet still gets a pass as 'the man' at heavyweight :patsch

    Missed nothing whatsoever, lad.

And I suspect YOU know it.

    Or at least guessed it.

These forums are replete with stupid comments.

And yes, I was tugging your chain.

    The troll was getting trolled.

Not to say that you're always a troll, but in matters Klitschko, you do seem to take considerable delight in tormenting the over-zealous aficionados of the brothers.

Still, a man who appreciates the Black Bush and is sweet on Celtic, clearly shows some flickers of sound judgment.

The British announcers were scoring that fight based on how they saw the hometown judges scoring it and not what was actually going on in the ring. I had Haye winning narrowly on points and I was also amazed that he got the decision, if only because he was not the hometown fighter. I'm pretty sure I remember Jim Watt commenting many times about Haye not doing enough to win the judges over based not on Haye's work, but on how he saw the judges favouring Valuev.

It was a horrible fight to score, but no-one will ever convince me SNV did more than Haye. SNV was chasing a shadow all night and the fight stats back that up. Haye outlanded him, made him miss more and had him doing the chicken-dance. If you want hard evidence of whether SNV thought the had won, fast forward to the scores being announced and you'll see him displaying a complete lack of surprise at the result.

Thread over run by Haye ***s (99% Brits if anyone cares to notice..since no one else supports this hype job) who actually believe Haye is prepared to compete with Wlad. Its hillarious really. The guy who ran from Valuev like his life was in danger will actually compete with Wlad.

How does hayes speed and power compare with eddie chambers?? Could we learn anything from the wlad-chambers fight that might indicate how wlad might handle haye?? I dont really know as i havent seen much of eddie chambers (apart from the beating he took from wlad)....i just remember before that fight everyone was saying that chambers' speed might be the key to him beating klitschko..

Haye is MUCH more powerful than Chambers, and also quicker. I think Chambers probably has the better handspeed (Haye seems to have lost some of it by bulking up to fight at heavyweight) and the better "gloves up" defense, but Haye has better head movement.

It's hard for me to imagine that they would provide a very similar stylistic matchup because Chambers tends to stand in front of you and try to block everything with his gloves...Haye tries to stay out of range and use head movement to avoid punches, generally keeping his gloves low (probably not wise against Wladimir). However, the interesting thing is that I don't think he can stay out of range against a jab as long and effective as Wladimir's. We shall see...

I picture Haye trying to fight Wladimir the way he fought Valuev - backpedaling and looking for that perfect counter shot. I just don't think he's going to find it, and he's not the kind of guy to bob and weave to the inside and make a Frazier-like fight out of it.

Chagaev has a superior chin to Haye. Haye lost to Valouev. Jim Watt had Valouev winning............Jim Watt said that Haye had to throw some punches to win. Haye is a fraud.

Good answer, i was expecting some sh*tty smart alek replies on here. According to Haye he's just going to take way Wlads jab by simply 'staying out of the way of it'....i'm pretty sure that that has been everyones gameplan to date but will be nteresting to see if like u said he can keep out of range. Will be even more interesting to see Hayes reaction to the first good klitschko jab that does land.

Wow...Finally somebody with some ****ing sense. *Thumbs Up* :thumbsup

Haye won't see past round 10 vs. either brother. He has no heart. None.
