My grandfather was Ukrainian, I don't have any real attachment to the place, but to say that Ukraine is Russia is absurd. I get it, you know a fact about Ukraine (that there is a sizable Russian population there, just like there is in many other places), doesn't mean Ukraine = Russia.

 

Another one of the Ukraine's most appalling chins belonged to cruiserweight disgrace Alexander Gurov - stopped in 3 by Patrice Aouissi for the European title, couldn't even last 2 rounds in a wba title challenge vs Nate Miller, pathetically knocked silly by Terry Dunstan with one shot in under 20 seconds (count included), then inevitably suffered the same fate against David Haye, where he almost lasted a full minute.

However, amongst all those horror shows, he somehow lasted into the 8th round against Mormeck :happy.

not long back, i too, was in denial about the existance of glass jaws in boxing but thanks to the extensive ground-breaking research of the terrific chin checking team, i am now fully aware of the glaring reality staring us all in the face, 'that glass jaws are here and that they undeniably exist in boxing :yep

By the way, the one family I know from the Crimea are NOT Russian nationalists (they live about 300 yards up the street from me). However the people I know from Cherkassy and Kiev always refer to themselves as Russian.

By the way, I like Ukraine (yes, I have been there) and I have quite a few Ukrainian friends.

Alekseev - Ramirez was more of a gas tank, panic when pressured issue than a glass chin and Lebedev is a monster puncher who caught him on the temple. Alekseev was out cold when he landed (face first) and tried to get up 3 seperate times but just couldn't get his legs back. Wouldn't call it glass.
