This weekend there are two big fights happening. Cotto vs Mayorga- while not exactly a superfight, it will definatly be entertaining and your gurareteed a fun spectacle. Everyone likes seeing Cotto and everyone likes to see what antics Mayorga might do. So its definatly worth watching. Martinez vs Dzinziruk- This IS an important fight, the world middleweight champ and P4P top 3 contender vs one of the best at 154 and a very good operator in a very risky fight. This IS a good fight for hardcore boxing fan And yet Sky havnt mentioned either and arnt showing then. Yet instead they ARE going to show Vitali K vs another fat heavyweight next week:huh. Adam Smith you have failed again...too many interesting fights are being missed. Maybe if you didnt waste Skys boxing budget swaning around on your holidays to Miami and LA with Nelson then you might be able to put the fights on people actually want
Im disapointed by Sky not showing any of them. Would love to see the Cotto-Mayorga fight and Lee-McEwan.
Dude... if you really want to catch the fight live then there are ways. Just use the resources the internet provides
SKY have actually picked it up over the last year or so, showing some top bouts. Ricky Burns is fighting on Saturday Fight Night, and then the Cricket World Cup is on after that. I'm sure they could probably fit either of the mentioned bouts on after this, but they only seem to do multiple bouts when Warren has a massive card on.
they did mention both fights briefly on ringside and premier have the rights to Matinez-Dzin. Sky also said they hope to have highlights of that fight next week
would rather have cotto v mayorg than next weeks Klit fight. But hey, i shouldn't complain as sky is providing for us needy fiends.
I think EVERYONE would rather watch Cotto vs Mayorga than another boring heavyweight mismatch. Sky should ****ing know this!
Cotto is one of the top10 names in boxing and should be shown, cotto mayorga and martinez fight should be on one after the other than the klitschko/bute fights next week etc
The worst thing is, sporting events usually get bidded on by multiple TV companies, but NOONE is bidding on this, which is a shame because SKY or any other TV company can buy such matches at bargain prices
I agree, but it's good that Premier Sports are stepping up to provide for boxing fans. I can't stand watching fights in poor quality on the internet but there's often no alternative.
