Haye will have to KO Wlad to win this fight. It will be a cautious couple of rounds with nothing much happening as the adversaries eye each other up and determine their speed/power/reflexes. A decision win against Wlad will be very unlikely so i think Haye will have to try to overwhelm Wlad with a barrage of punches and try to KO him at some stage in the fight. We might even see Haye go for the body for a change!
I will bet any takers David wins by knockout. If he doesn't, i'll leave the forum forever. I don't give a ****, I barely post anymore anyway, I' ve already put 1K on it. I predicted he would KO mormeck between 6-8, I predicted he would have a scrap and win late with fragomeni, I predicted round 3 for maca, i predicted 3 for harrison, etc etc etc. Takers?
He's still hurt every opponent he's faced as a pro. Even though Wlad hasn't been hurt in quite a while, we all know how he responds when he takes a battering. Klit fans seem to think improving your jab and right hand also improves your chin and recovery powers :nono
Haye is going down without a punch landing on him somewhere in the 5th round. Just wait. Wlad will miss by a mile and Haye will fall and roll around all hurt ala ODLH.
Mainly it's what he does after he punches is where Wlad changed. He used to sort of stop and pose for the camera when he landed. That's been fixed luckily. He's become very keen at maintaining the distance between himself and the opponent so as to not leave any openings after he throws a punch. He rarely gets hit with counters thanks to that.
He did, but like said it doesn't mean he's an extraordinary puncher at HW, because of the level of opposition. It also doesn't mean he's going to win even if he would have Shavers' punching power. I'm quite sure not many people here would expect prime Herbie Hide to beat Wlad in a fantasy matchup, and he was at least as fast, had about the same style and certainly hit harder as Davey.
When Haye feels the first left hook or right cross land, this fight will effectively be over. If he doesn't go down, he is going to run for the rest of the night. It's just that simple.
When Vitali stops him, he's going to say that he was preparing for Wlad, and could not compensate for the patented Klit-flip.
lol @ somebody saying I dont like cocky loud black guys.. I like Mayweather... but anyways... The reason I say this is because of how delusional Haye is... he lives in his own world.. and I just think he doesnt seem like the type who would go down hard and would rather not take a beating and would rather be smart is all..
Im not saying Haye doesnt have heart.. Im just saying that when things go bad I dont see him being the type of fighter despite all the trash talk and arrogant nature will NOT want others to see him get beat down which is smart...This can possibly turn into a boring fight
Haye has one loss where he was still throwing when the ref jumped in, in his 11th pro fight against a granite chinned opponent that he'd blew his load on. There are numerous precedents of what happens if either fighter takes a bomb and the odds are that Wlad loses his **** and goes to pieces. You will not find any evidence of Haye giving up in any fight in his pro career or his long amateur career, which is much more than be said for Wlad. Your assumption that Haye 'doesn't seem like the type who would go down hard and not take a beating' flies in the face of hard evidence. Haye has been there before and was still throwing punches, even as a novice. Wlad has been there numerous times before as a seasoned pro and ended up crawling on the canvas looking for his big brother to help out.
atsch He put his OWN money on him over Harrison round 3, He told people to bet on round 3. How is that not doing what you say your going to do. He said he would stop Ruiz, he stopped Ruiz
Yeah, Haye won't have a chance to do too much pondering about the beating, cause he'll be caught and laid out, flat, before he gets too swollen and bloodied.
And the winner is........... If Haye feels dominated but isn't KTFO before the 4th, he'll claim injury and have the bout called a NC.
