Untill Mayweather beats Pacquiao which is a big possibility,Im going to have Dela Hola slightly ahead of Floyd.
Mayweather is safe now because of his 0, think about this when mayweather fights a tune up guy like berto for example and somehow loses. It will hit his legacy way harder.
... not that he ducked too many fights, he is fighting in a bad timing, beating DLH or Mosley a few years back would give him similar legacy as Whitaker and Chavez for DLH, now these wins are in pair of Calzaghe's wins over old Hopkins and Jones, nothing comparable to Jones win over Toney or Hopkins over Trinidad. If Floyd beats PAc then he will edge DLH clearly.
Floyd beating mosley is on the same level for me with oscar beating chavez. A decent win but definitely not prime in there. What you say about timing is trough though, lets say pac looks slow or old next fight and then floyd beats him he will not get the credit he wants for it. thats how it goes.
ODLH was champ in 5 divisions. He lost to Sturm and was as little champ there as Pacquiao is in JMW. I still think though that ODLH's resume is quite impressive when you look through it and probably edges Mayweather.
were talking about boxing skills not ppv numbers odlh cherry picked on old guys and when he finally stepped it up he lost all his big fights, and h2h floyd beats him anyday at any weight
DLH > PBF Those people that voted for Floyd are ****ing out of their mind. Yes PBF is a better boxer, but in terms of legacy DLH blows PBF out the ****ing game.
Floyd slightly edges it imo and sure, ODLH arguably beat Mosley the second time but don't forget Mosley was coming off two big losses and a no contest.
This is surprisingly difficult. Do I pick a guy who took on the best and lost every time or a guy who never took on the best yet never lost in his career?
It's much easier to do when your half the guys age. Oscar had slowed down considerably by the time he foguth Floyd. Yes he had the height advantage, but Floyd had the speed and youth on his side. FLoyd knew he was too slow for him,t ahts why he took the fight. PBF never takes a fight unless he see's a weakness he can exploit.
i dunno, oscar has the gold medal pedigree, a great career, fought lots of top quality guys, win lose or dram, and then went into the business side of the sport after his career....pretty impressive
