Bassically my honest opinion about him and my opinion of misconceptions about him created by mega fans. A) 'He is a defensive genius' I would say that he has a long reach and is very good at timing his opponents before they get on the inside but when hurt he's clueless. B) 'He's dominated the best era of all time' I tottally disagree with this, this is the first era that has had real competion with MMA and you only really have to look at the fighters of this era to see they are not in great shape. I would say it's obvious that this era is poor but I think he would be copetative in any era but he would not stand out as much in the 60-90's, people were brought up tougher then aswell. His strong points: He has great punching power, trains hard for every fight, physically strong and big. Weak points: Bad chin, terrible at recovering when hurt, inside fighting and I also feel he naturaly has poor stamina I don't think he could go 12 at a high pace like fighters used to.

You know, 7-8 years ago you could argue some of those points about his stamina, recovering, and chin...but not today. And MMA has absolutely nothing to do with boxing. Your post is a total fail. :patsch

People who keep saying "Sanders, Brewster, blah, blah", forget that since Steward came into the picture 6 years ago Wlad has barely been hit, let alone hurt. His footwork and defense has improved Hugely. No HW can even compare defensively.

A lot of his flaws are masked by his size, hypoethically if he was the same size as Haye he'd be a lamb to the slaughter(he is still losing anyway when they fight)if they fought as Haye is simply more talented out of the two.

Not true. And you can't make comparison's like that.

It's like saying that if Shaquille O'Neal were only 6'2 he wouldn't have been a great basketball player. Well, if he were 6'2 he would have been a completely different person, different reflexes, etc...

Let's relate it to boxing, it's like saying "Mayweather would be the best Heavyweight ever"....well no, because at the size of a heavyweight he wouldn't have the reflexes and speed that he has at a smaller size.

Or how about if Ants were the size of elephants they'd rule the world. No they wouldn't, they'd suffocate.

I see your point, if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle.

There is no doubt Wlad is a very clever defensive boxer, hes quality his record proves that. But its his size which gives him an advantage more than anything. But as i said if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle, and Wlad has the size theres nothing anyone can do about it.

Yeah he did pass and thats a good win for Wlad, it done nothing to clear up any doubts about his chin though.
