    If he was afraid of Mayorga, he wouldn't be fighting him.

    What if someone talked nonstop **** about you and constantly called you a *** for months and then you come face to face with him while he's still talking ****? You would want to punch him in the face. It would have been intresting to see what would've happened, but Cotto made the right call. I'm pretty sure his team agreed for him not to do the stare down as well.

    Boy people are so stupid in this forum, why would someone who already fought more scarier and deadlier people in the ring would be scared of someone who just talks outside on the ring.... Seriously.

    I'll just laugh at people saying Cotto is a chicken just because of a stare down...

    Coward? He is fighting him tomorrow night. Press conferences mean nothing. The main thing is who wins the fight. This face off stuff means nothing-absolutely nothing at this point. If Cotto wins he beat a guy who was naturally bigger. Then he can move on to bigger and better fighters. The only thing which makes this fight competitive is that Cotto is a smaller fighter. But Cotto is the much better fighter.

    Personally I dont think his scared of Mayorga he just dident want to go up there and knowing the way Mayorga is he knew he was going to probaly push him and Cotto would have to defend himself and he knew it could have gotten real ugly so he just decided not to go and avoid that **** I do agree though that it was kinda shitty not to do that for the fans....
