http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6202817&categoryid=2881270 ESPN broadcasts UFC in England right? That kind of sucks. 1) Anderson Silva – UFC 2) Georges St. Pierre – UFC 3) Jose Aldo – UFC 4) Frankie Edgar – UFC 5) Mauricio Rua – UFC 6) Dominick Cruz – UFC 7) Cain Velasquez – UFC 8 ) Jon Jones – UFC 9) Jake Shields – UFC 10) Gray Maynard – UFC
Edgar beat Penn, but he's not better P4P than him. Simply stated, Edgar could never fight Fitch to a draw, Penn did. Edgar could not knock out Hughes in 30 seconds, Penn did. Edgar can't even beat Maynard. He just had a style and speed advantage over Penn. That being said: 1) St Pierre 2) Anderson 3) Aldo 4) Penn 5) Maynard 6) Edgar 7) JOnes 8 )Rua 9) Cruz 10) Machida
I love Hendo personally. But he's never been 'The man' in his division since the PRIDE days and has lost to the last two P4P fighters he's faced convincingly and happen to be on that list
Im not a fan of p4p lists as it is but come on if a person wins a fight convincingly TWICE and doesnt go above the person they beat they lose even more meaning.
Fair enough, I know he lost to both Anderson and Shield's but he just won a very impressive fight, and lossing to Anderson doesn't mean much, when Anderson basically destroys fighters when he's on his game.
I agree. There's a difference between where someone is in terms of their ATG status which basically spans their career, and a p4p list, which is at a point in time. So BJ could and does rank ahead of Edger on an ATG list, but not currently on a p4p list.
1. Anderson Silva 2. GSP 3. Shogun 4. Aldo 5. Edgar 6. Penn 7. Maynard 8. Fitch 9. Dominick Cruz 10. Cain Velasquez If Shogun defeats Jones, my list will look the same. If Jones defeats Rua; Velasquez will drop off, Rua will fall to 10, and Jones will go in at 7.
That's a good list IMO. Not sure I can see the justification for having Maynard higher than Fitch at this point, but a good list nonetheless. Where does Nick Diaz fit in for you?
Top 10 should absolutely be all UFC fighters at the moment. Werdum is probably the closest to gatecrashing it. Hioki has an argument for being close.
