IMO, he has to hurt Cotto with a big punch early, and attempt to bomb him out.

    He's not outboxing Cotto.

But with the ring rust, coming off of surgery, and the still recent Pac beatdown, it is possible that Mayorga, with his size advantage and good power, can really hurt Cotto.

Cotto should be the clear fave as far as talent goes, but I do see Mayorga landing on him, and Im interested to see how he holds up.

This ain't no Ricardo Torres motha fawka. This is El Matador Mayorga.. Former Undisputed Welterweight World Champ and Former WBC Super Welterweight World Champ

Of course he has a chance. If you think Mayorga is past his prime and has taken too many punishments, you think Cotto is fresh himself? Plasterito beatdown and Pacquioao beatdown.

mayorga is takin this very serious just look at the weight and shape he is coming in. I see danger for Cotto early . If it goes past 6, should be Cotto's by decision or late round tko

I agree, if Cotto can weather the early storm...then he would have it in the bag. Mayorga can seriously bring it in the early rounds :D

Cotto needs to break Mayo down in the early goin and take him out late...Ricardo really trained for this fight but if Cotto can touch the body early on, I see Migs stoppin him in the 2ndd half of the fight...

He has a puncher's chance, but will most likely lose.

He has a chance if he can catch Cotto with one of those typical Mayorga swings.

I don't see it happening though. Cotto will cover up nicely and walk Mayorga down and sting him with more precise punches. Mayorga will eventually sicken and gas out, leaving him a sitting duck for Cotto to win by stoppage in the 9th.

Both men are on the slide, but Cotto has more left.

He has a chance, but certainly not a big one. He's put in that place to make Cotto look good, many people refuse to see that.
He can sell it well though, not as well as Audley in Britain, but pretty good.
