I was talking to a friend about Haye-Valuev quite recently and kept saying SNV. He asked my why I called him SNV and my friend was somewhat mystified with my explanation (he's not big on irony tbh).

How do you see that happening? Which of Kessler's punch, or attributes at large, makes you believe he'll destroy a powerful, quick southpaw?

I hate to say this but Kessler has been in too many wars at this point to have an edge on Bute. In anything. His resume won't help him reach the level he was at in 2006.

Did you put Kessler down with your other post to discredit a potential top 5 SMW win for Bute? Or are you just acknowledging the fact that Bute is (very) wrong for Kessler at this point? :D

Bute's a beast. I knew Kessler was a hype job the first time I saw him taking jab after jab from calzaghe.

Bute needs to learn to move his head more, he takes too many punches from scrub fighters. But he has real power. I put him near level Ward and Dirrell. Need to see him against top level comp though.

About time we get somthing worth talking about, I was about to leave the wagon if he didn't have better opposition after Magee. Kessler, if healthy, is the perfect guy to start climbing the ladder for Froch or Ward, one or the other will be the S6 winner. So all in all, it was a long break, but, it's now time for an answer we all been waiting for, who the hell is #1 SMW ????

For now, it's like 50-50 Ward or Bute, but untill Bute faces 2 or 3 guys that were in the S6, he will not get the respect a true champion deserves.
At least, the fights will be awsome to watch!!!:thumbsup

Would be great to see Bute step up and take on a proper fight so we can see if he really is elite. Just want kessler to be sure his injuries are properly healed before this one dont want him hurting himself hes done enough in his career he deserves to leave boxing with his health

Article at the Scene says Sauerland & Kessler would agree to pursue a fight in June, not October. Dirrell is ranked right behind Mendy @ IBF and could beat him to get a shot at the winner of IBF title fight Bute-Kessler, and that fight would happen in Sep/Oct...

Then my 2 months old prediction of Bute-Kessler happening in June, Bute-Dirrell in the fall and Bute-S6 winner in Dec/Jan/Feb could make sense. Whoohoo.

Remember the body punch that Calzaghe threw to Kessler around round 8 of their fight? Kessler was in trouble...just imagine what could a Bute's body punch would do to him now:)
