In the fight against Folley Ali seemed to get hit a lot But I think he was just toying with him.

 

You've got to be ****ing kidding me.

Comparing a Peak Tyson to a past-prime, slow as molasses boxer-puncher who was 36 year old & undertrained?

At least contrast Tyson with the fellow pressure fighter Chuvalo, whom Peak Ali looked less than spectacular against. Then acknowledge that Tyson would hit Ali far more than Chuvalo did, with insane pressure, devastating power & incredible handspeed (on-par with Ali)... Note that i picked Ali to win, but it's literally beyond moronic to pretend this is an easy night for him, especially considering the elusive intense pressure, debilitating body-punches, lightning reflexes & speed, vicious combinations & deadly lefthook (his money-punch when with Rooney) that Tyson brings to the table...

 

Um actually Liston was 32 and was considered unbeatable. No one gave Ali a chance to win.

 

Once again, I pick Ali by late TKO. Tyson comes on strong early and presses the bout to the limit, but Ali adapts with his speed and Tyson will slowly but surely tire as the fight progresses.

 

It is true Tyson paces himself against fighters who are only interested in hugging and surviving. but against a smart fighter who sticks & moves, throwing combinations back. Tyson wears down quickly. As with Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis.

 

Ali wouldnt even say he would school Tyson, in fact Ali always felt Tyson would be a very difficult fight for him. Kevin Rooney believes Ali would have presented the biggest challenge for Tyson of any of the past greats, but I think this fight is highly competitive. Tyson at his best hangs with any heavyweight in the history of the division. :deal

 

No one hangs with a prime Ali.

And I would favor Liston over Tyson every time. Sonny was 5 times the fighter Douglas used to be when he stopped Mike.
Because of his 2 defeats against the greatest heavyweight ever, Sonny Liston doesn't get his credit.

 

Difference Ali's fight with frazier was only his 3rd one after a 4 year layoff.

A prime Ali was to fast and slippery.

 

The jab & footspeed are what do Tyson here.

I do disagree ,
we did not c Tyson against 1 fighter of the Ali caliber . Ali did hit like 1 butterfly. Tyson wud b 1 fastest fighter tht Ali fought , w/ speed power and might .
Tyson only did wear down,
