I don't think Burns has showed enough for his team and Warren to be confident going into a unification. And I'm not sure they actually mean what they are saying. Thoughts?

i hope so,maybe it wont happen as quick as we think, but not sure the division is all that great at mo.,so maybe burns will fight the lesser other champs. for titles and try and get more experience for the better other title holder/s.

They certainly should do. A 37 year old that was never particularly rated as anything great? Seems a great spot to pick up a belt and legitimize himself a little more.

Didnt Frank Warren basically say in this months Boxing Monthly that the unification wouldnt be happening antime soon even though Ricky really wants it?
He said he wants Ricky to fight four times in 2011 so expect three more utter bumbags and then maybe a unification in 2012.

Braehead arena is an utter **** to get to, & even harder to get back from as its in the middle of nowhere & no public transport, £50 for the cheap seats(its been hiked up from £30) & an overpriced bar, so if you want to get there and back & have a couple of drinks its going to skin you about £100 as its about £20 there & the same back in a cab from Glasgow & in this day & age when moneys too tight to mention? Even a fan favourite like Burns isnt going to put bums on seats at the Braehead.

Make it a fan friendly venue like the Kelvin & it will sell out every time, but Braehead is just too much of a pain in the arse for your average boxing fan to attend.

I was at the fight tonight. £50 is too much at the present time, especially when the home fighter (blue corner) won, as was expected, every fight. There wasn't one 50/5ae0 fight on that card tonight so I don't blame folk for not paying to see that tonight, I wish I hadn't botherd myself to be fair- no offence to any of the fighters on show, who I don't grudge the pay day.

Braehead is a **** to get to as well as said above. it is a shopping centre, so it is designed for folk driving to, if it had been in the Kelvin hall people could have travveled by train, bus or walked from the city centre.

Scottish fans are generally thick as **** idiots who will follow anyone who wears a kilt or waves a saltire but only for so long- they wont keep paying the money to see Ricky against non name fighters. If Frank wants to milk another few pay days then he should at least drop the ticket price to about £35.

thats my point they are putting on these shows because frank though he could make it pay , no doubt he made a nice chunk from the show but i bet he was banking on a sell out

dosent matter how you slice it fans will stop flocking at those prices to **** shows with even shitter main events , dosent matter who the fighter is
