Zappa is hooking his way in widely and getting jabbed in the face. Zappa is closing in without landing punches, pressing chest to chest with Vazquez and getting grappled away as Vazquez peels his arms free and heaves Zappa away. Vazquez is landing jabs and right hands in between the clinches, while circling and slipping the softer jabs and wild hooks of Zappa. Big lunging right hand from Zappa misses. Zappa storms inside shoeshining and Vazquez drops his upper body down to greet him and shoeshines back. Zappa keeps eating jabs.

Round 3

Zappa is still winging curled shots at Vazquez with both hands, missing with hooks and uppercuts as Vazquez stays one step beyond his reach and counters him comfortably. Zappa is breathing a bit heavily after expending so much trying to connect.

Round 4

Zappa double-jabs his way forward. Vazquez barely evades a right hand. Zappa is coming forward aggressively, throwing some straighter punches but still all with big power behind them. Vazquez reaches in and ties up. Zappa stalks and feints with his right. Zappa keeps jabbing and then hooking his way in. Vazquez ducks a hook and again ties up. Zappa is landing hooks to the body as he chases the crouching and backpedaling Vazquez across the ring. Zappa is now the one landing between the clinches, initiated by Vazquez stopping to meet him with his arms forming a basket to catch him.
