Vazquez pushes out with his jab, literally turning Zappa's chin aside with his palm as Zappa tries to just walk through it. Vazquez is shuffling backward and trying to counter jab but needs to keep moving as Zappa is pursuing relentlessly. Clinch. Zappa takes hopping steps toward Vazquez and is grabbed again. Zappa is now throwing to the body but not quite reaching. Vazquez is poking through with some jabs and light hooks from outside, all up on his toes and constantly moving. Zappa jabs to the belly and follows with an uppercut to the same spot as Vazquez tries to jump away.

 

Round 6

Vazquez is running in semi-circles around Zappa before throwing a jab or hook. Zappa is just timing him by bringing both forearms up with ear claps, like a pair of scissors. Vazquez tries to lunge in low and dig a right to the body and is flurried back by Zappa. Vazquez decides to remain on the outside and jab. Zappa shoulders his way inside, and into a clinch. Zappa cocks his right hand up by his chin and launches it downward into Vazquez's gut. Vazquez is throwing pot shots before grabbing. Tony Weeks warns both for leading with their heads. Double jab to the face by Vazquez. They tie up and Zappa keeps working his free hand. Vazquez comes flying at him with a leaping right hand lead. They tie up and both hit each other in the lower back. Vazquez hops in quick circles on the outside and jabs.
