Round 6

Lee lands a nice southpaw 1-2, and then cleaves close to McEwan trying to just work his hands on the inside and not be at the end of those hurting combos. Lee watches McEwan drift back to the outside and jabs at him a few times, then lands a hard left cross. Lee takes a right hook to the body, and answers with one to the head. The two circle at close range and trade punches. Lee lands a punch to McEwan's hip, and McEwan walks back into the ropes to lure Lee in before slamming his head with both fists. Lee misses a left cross as McEwan takes a lateral step. McEwan takes a breather, and then comes forward with a big flurry. Lee throws a 1-2, and then digs another left into McEwan's chin.

Very close round.

 

Round 7

Lee lands his right hook and is taking fewer backward steps and also getting his head rocked less. McEwan is still keeping his hands very active, and tapping Lee above both ears. Lee is landing a couple of body shots and weaving a bit on the inside but still taking a lot more leather than he's able to dish out. They wrestle down the stretch. Lee lands a right jab, and then lands a hard 1-2 during an ensuing exchange...almost stealing the round.
