I wonder how much longer he'll fight. He said before this that he only wanted 2 more fights, but he's having easy success lately.

He needs a large money fight. He's earned it.

I thought it was the best performance of his career. He totally dominated his opponent in every conceivable way and then stopped him in devastating fashion.

I can't believe the guy is 36. I know he started late, but his speed and reflexes are insane.

:think Don't agree. He overpowered a fighter who had 0 power and wasn't as strong as him. It was a dominant win thanks to the knock downs and the KO but he didn't dominate in every conceivable way. Dzin's jab and boxing bothered him quite a bit and at the end of the 7th he was huffing and puffing and had problems with his eye from that jab.

Not to take anything away from Martinez. I can't see anyone beating him at MW. He is like a Donaire of the higher weight classes. Speed, skill and devastating power. Most would have been been taken out much quicker than Dzindziruk.

Did we watch the same fight? Martinez outjabbed his opponent 3-1. He landed twice as many powershots, and secured five knockdowns? It was a sickening display. Sure, Dzin had some good moments in rounds 6 and 7, but they were few and far between. The result was really never in doubt. Dzin was made to look ordinary...

Watching Dzinziruk get handily out-jabbed was a thing of beauty.

Yup. I have never seen Dzinziruk fight before, but I have heard many people talk about him having an excellent jab. I'm sure he does, but I didn't really get to see it tonight because Martinez dominated him in that area...and well, every other area.

Martinez is now peaking. I hope he doesn't sell out and fight Pacman at a lower weight. He weakens himself he could lose and we will not see the real Martinez, who would at this point beat Pacman with no trouble. Time for Sturm to unify against Martinez.
